To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Bare Root Plants
Bare root plants are sold by height from the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may exceed minimum height requirements.

- Shrubs & Perennials: 1 foot, 18 inches, 2 feet

You'll love watching butterflies and wonderful goldfinch birds flit from flower to flower, and so will your friends and family. Prairie Splendor™ Coneflowers are rugged, low-maintenance native perennial cultivars that come back year after year and produce long-lasting blooms all summer long!
Planting and Application:
Coneflowers are must-haves for cut flower and pollinator gardens, native, wildflower, and prairie gardens, Rock gardens, and perennial borders! It creates a fantastic colorful backdrop to smaller plants and groundcovers until frost! With their well-branched stems, a mass planting of these long-blooming plants will become a fabulous focal point! Use these plants in xeric and fire-wise landscaping designs!
Prairie Splendor™ has a special shade of pinkish-purple that works beautifully in just about any color garden palette or type of pot! Working well in both formal and informal settings! They're even easy enough to grow in drifts! Fill a wide, open area with a mass planting of these easy-peasy herbaceous perennials. Space them 12 inches apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Coneflower needs plenty of sunshine - at least 6 hours of full sun a day. Don't plant this perennial in low-lying areas that collect water because they need well-drained soil. And although they will be relatively drought tolerant, you'll get more blooms with a regular schedule of medium water. In early spring, if you've left your perennial plantings to stand over the winter, just snip the stalks back down to an inch above ground level.
