Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

So, if you love Hydrangeas, but don't have space for them, you need to buy Tiny Tuff Stuff™ (Hydrangea serrata 'MAKD')! This Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Hydrangeas small size is perfect for urban lots and even containers for your porch or balcony!
This extremely bud-hardy Mountain Hydrangea produces abundant lace-cap, flat-topped flowers comprised of delicate doubled sepals. Depending on your soil pH the flower color may range from blues in acidic soil, to pink in alkaline, or even white! Tiny Tuff Stuff™ leans towards the blue hue however, all colors this Hydrangea can possibly become are soft, pastel, and delicate!
Tiny Tuff Stuff™ blooms on both old and new wood, providing you with an abundance of dainty flowers that cover the plant every summer, all summer long into fall!
The deep-green leaves on Tiny Tuff Stuff™ are more delicate and graceful than average Hydrangeas, keeping in tune with the elegant nature of this particular type of Hydrangea. Finely-textured and lightly toothed edges create a lovely backdrop for those lacy blooms. Harmonizing with other perennials and shrubs during the short time this tough little shrub isn't blooming.
Taking on a mounded growth habit naturally, these are low-maintenance plants, that require little or no pruning to stay compact and tidy year-round! With all of the great looks and full-sized flowers of other hardy lacecaps, Tiny Tuff Stuff™ is sure to please!
Don't forget to plant a few extra so you can steal a few blooms for your vase! These make wonderful additions to bouquets and floral arrangements!

#ProPlantTips For Care
Reaching a demure 18-24" in height and width, Tiny Tuff Stuff™ thrives in almost any condition - sun or shade, urban or country! It's an uber-hardy shrub that will come back year after year!
Doing well in both full sun and part sun, Tiny Tuff Stuff™ does appreciate some afternoon shade during the worst of the summer's heat, especially in southern climates.
This Mountain Hydrangea can tolerate very cold winter conditions in USDA zones 5 through 9. Just make sure it has plenty of water. Mountain Hydrangea is not particular about soil type however, Tiny Tuff Stuff™ does like evenly moist soils for best performance. Add a 3-4 inch layer of mulch to help maintain the soil moisture.
Most soil pH will naturally have these lovelies in the blue range and to increase that tone, add aluminum sulfate to the soil to encourage the best blue flower color possible. These will be in lavender to pink shades in alkaline soil and sometimes white as well.
All Hydrangea appreciate a generous layer of mulch over the soil surface. This helps retain soil moisture as well as insulate the root system from both heat and chill.
Tiny Tuff Stuff™ is so easy to care for, requiring very little in the way of maintenance. You can prune right after flowering if needed to remove any dead branches from winter. Flowering on both old and new wood, it comes back strong - even after a hard freeze!
Take care when applying lawn fertilizers near flowering shrubs. These high-nitrogen formulas are designed to produce foliage, but will not support flower development. Instead, apply an all-purpose fertilizer for blooming plants in early spring. Reapply in mid-summer, following label directions for application rates.
Don't let the dainty flowers and elegant leaves fool you - the Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Tiny Tuff Stuff™ Hydrangea reviews are in, and this is a real winner! Order your own miniature Mountain Hydrangea from the expert growers at Nature Hills Nursery today!
