To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Bare Root Plants
Bare root plants are sold by height from the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may exceed minimum height requirements.

The Luna™ Red Hibiscus (Hibiscus moscheutos 'Luna Red') is a wonderfully compact, bushy plant with gigantic 8", bright burgundy-red flowers! We're talking dinner plate-sized, five-petaled, Hollyhock-like blooms!
The Luna™ series produces big, bushy, well-branched plants without pinching. The typical leaves and flowers look just like their tropical cousins, only these are tender perennial shrubs that are very cold tolerant down to hardiness zone 4 and heat tolerant up to zone 9.
These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months, growing anew each year for a dense, compact and even flush of growth. Widely adaptable and hardy plants, these big colorful blossoms attract butterflies and bees galore! You may even see a hummingbird come to visit these red blooms which are their favorite color!
Planting and Application:
The shorter stature of Luna Red makes it an excellent choice for smaller gardens or large patio containers. This Hibiscus is suitable for very large planters, but pots must be protected over winter in colder climates. Porches and balconies, patios alike all become exotic getaways and destination spots with ease!
For low definition and screening, plant rows, and groupings for growing season privacy and color all summer! #ProPlantTips for Care:
Deer-resistant, Luna™ Red grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow it to dry to the wilting point. Be patient, Hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring, sometimes the last to show before summer. However, their fast growth more than makes up for it. Be careful to not over-water until plants show signs of growth! For best performance, plant in full sun in moist soil before the heat of the summer.
