Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Care and Maintenance

This hardy Floribunda Rose is disease-resistant and easy to grow, thriving in a variety of climates.

  • Planting Time: Spring or fall for the best establishment
  • Sun Needs: Full sun (6+ hours daily) preferring morning sun to dry the leaves of dew - reducing foliar issues.
  • Soil Needs: Grows best in well-drained, fertile soil. Tolerates clay with proper amendment and as long as it does not become waterlogged
  • Moisture Needs: Regular watering; keep soil evenly moist but not soggy
  • Mulch: Spread 3-4 inches of bark mulch around the roots (not piled up against the stems or over the crown) to retain moisture and regulate temperature
  • Fertilization Needs: Feed with balanced Rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer
  • Pruning Info: Prune in early spring to shape and encourage new growth
  • Renewal Pruning: Remove up to one-third of old, unproductive wood every few years
  • Special Needs/Perks:
    • Disease-resistant
