Where to Plant

• Sunlight: For the most vibrant pink centers and heavy flower production, plant in full sun with at least 6 hours of direct light daily. While it can handle partial shade, you will notice fewer blooms and a more open, leggy growth habit.
• Soil: This hibiscus thrives in rich, well-drained soil but is famously adaptable to various types. If you have heavy clay, mix in some organic compost at planting time to improve drainage and prevent "wet feet" which can lead to root rot.

Watering Requirements

During the first growing season, water your Paraplu Pink Ink deep enough to soak the root ball twice a week. Once established, these shrubs are quite drought-tolerant, but inconsistent moisture during high heat can cause the flower buds to drop before they open. Aim for a deep soaking at the base of the plant rather than frequent light sprinkles to encourage a robust root system.

Pruning Tips
