Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Planting and Application:
EverColor® Everest™ Carex is perfect for those areas around your yard that can be difficult to plant. It thrives in partial shade, giving those shady places a pop of color and winter interest. Include them with broad-leaved Hosta and fine-textured Astilbe. Repeat them along a woodland garden path. Don't just be surprised if their winsome good looks call fairies to mind!
Pop a row of them on the shady side of your Butterfly Garden! They make very useful plants in swales, Rain Gardens, and Green Roof projects. They also become a terrific accent to brighten up a shady balcony! Even if the only ambition you have is to decorate the low-lying area around your rain gutter, this darling plant is up for the challenge. Enjoy the tufty fountains created by these personable perennials.
Tuck them into oversized outdoor containers as a marvelous "Spiller" around the edge to soften the look. Partner with one of our special Hydrangea bushes as a "Thriller", and you'll have an elegant design that works for many years with afternoon shade. Keep container-grown plants outdoors all year with some shelter in the coldest areas.
In ambitious, earth-moving projects like bermed Rain Gardens, use multiple EverColor® Everest™ Variegated Sedge Grass to provide motion and color in shaded areas. Protect our precious groundwater from potentially polluted runoff from roofs and streets.
This stunning grass is adored by landscapers as an impeccable and reliable mass planting with a lot of pizzazz. Plant them eight inches apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. Use this same spacing to create a groundcover fill on slopes. #ProPlantTips for Care:
All this fun type of Hair Grass requires to keep it looking great is a little tune-up in spring. We're talking perhaps five minutes a year in maintenance, beyond watering. In the hottest areas, please take care that they don't get too much sun, but in cooler zones, Sedges can grow well in partial shade. Moist, well-drained soil is best for them to shine, so provide them with consistent water.
Make sure to cut back all the foliage in the late winter or early spring each year. You'll make way for fresh new leaves to emerge from the roots each spring! Otherwise, these petite powerhouses are quite easy-care. If you like to have a tidy space, gently rake them to clear fallen leaves.
- Use in Partial or Full Shade
- Thrives in Moist, Well-Drained Soil
- Moist to Higher Moisture Locations
- Prune Down Or Clean Mounds In Early Spring
- Rabbit & Deer Resistant
Enjoy their sweetly Zen look and they'll perform faithfully for you! Place your order for EverColor® Everest™ Variegated Sedge Grass today. Nature Hills will ship it at just the right time for planting in your area.
