Description
Easy breezy dream in pink, the Easy Elegance® Pinktopia Shrub Rose (Rosa 'BAImas') will have you dancing with joy at the sight of its deep pink blooms. They draw your eye from across the garden and pop brightly against the glossy, dark green foliage of this great introduction in the Easy Elegance® line-up. The fragrant blooms look fantastic in a vase while perfuming your breakfast table in bouquets or adding that extra layer of enjoyment to outdoor seating areas.
Some reviewers call this the perfect pink. Masses of dreamy pink blooms appear all summer and late into the fall. In warmer zones 8-9, it can even bloom well past Thanksgiving! The reddish new growth highlights the pink buds and ages to deep green and fills out these 3-4 foot tall shrubs that spread to 2-3 feet in width.
Easy Elegance® Landscaping Shrub Roses, as their name says, are some of the easiest Roses to grow. No need to pamper or spray to keep your plant healthy. These are disease-resistant, hardy plants and they will give you diva blooms without any of the extra work other diva Roses require. Easy Elegance® Roses are also grown on their own root, so no matter how harsh the winter, these sprout up new growth from the ground and quickly regrow into exactly the same frilly pink Rose bush you purchase!
Planting and Application:
Pinktopia is as perfect in containers as it is in your landscape. Use this beautiful plant as an accent, in masses in your perennial borders and beds, or even in your cutting garden. Pinktopia looks great with other Easy Elegance® introductions. #ProPlantTips for Care:
Easy Elegance® Landscape Roses are easy to grow! Plant these modern Roses where they'll get plenty of air circulation and full sun. Morning sun is best, and they'll need at least six or more hours of sunlight a day. Plant in well-drained soil that doesn't stay soggy after rainfall and plant with some Nature Hills Root Booster to help your Roses live strong with the symbiotic relationship beneficial fungi have with tiny feeder roots - lasting the life of the plant!
Provide a consistent yet moderate amount of water throughout the growing season and try to only water at the base of the plant, rather than wet the foliage. Spread a 3-4 inch layer of mulch to help reduce dirt splashing onto the leaves. This helps reduce the spread of disease and keeps your foliage clean.
In early spring and mid-summer, apply a slow-release fertilizer for flowering plants. Follow the application rates on the label, please. Prune own-root Roses down to eight inches in early spring just as they start to wake back up. Even the coldest winters will only kill the tops, but then regrow from the roots as good as ever!
