BEAUTIFUL LITTLE BUSHES AND VERY HEALTHY.

ARRIVED HEALTHY AND ARE TAKING ROOT ALREADY IN THE SHORT TIME THEY'VE BEEN IN THE GROUND WITH ONE IN OUR FRONT YARD AND THE OTHER IN THE BACKYARD. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF GREAT PLANTS FROM A GREAT NURSERY!

Potentillas are tough little plants, and it sounds like yours wasted no time settling in. Having one up front and one in the back means you will get to watch them fill out from two different spots, which is a nice way to enjoy the season. We appreciate the kind words, Alan, and hope both shrubs reward you with plenty of blooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the sunlight requirements for Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla—full sun or part shade?

  • Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla thrives in full sun conditions. This tough shrub can handle intense sunlight without the pink blooms fading or bleaching out, even in hot climates. Plant it in your sunniest spots for the best non-stop flowering performance from late spring through summer.

How do I plant Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla, including spacing?

  • Plant Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla 2-3 feet apart in full sun for best blooms. This compact shrub reaches just 1-2 feet tall and wide, making it perfect for borders, containers, or mass plantings. Plant in spring after frost danger passes in zones 2-7, available at naturehills.com.

Is Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla deer resistant?

  • Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla is generally deer resistant, as most Potentilla varieties are not preferred by deer. This tough little shrub's dense growth habit and continuous blooms from late spring through summer make it an excellent choice for areas with deer pressure.

Will Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla survive harsh winters in zone 2?

  • Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla thrives in zone 2 and can withstand temperatures down to -50°F. This Proven Winners variety is specifically bred for super performing hardiness in the harshest climates. Plant it confidently in your coldest locations.

How is Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla shipped—bare root, potted, or when?

  • Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla ships as potted plants from Nature Hills, ready to transplant into your garden. This hardy zone 2-7 shrub can be planted spring through fall when soil is workable. Shop at naturehills.com for healthy, established plants.
