Arrived in good condition

Arrived in good condition. I have another and it's six yrs old. Beautiful bush!

Six years with a Rose of Sharon says a lot, and Blushing Bride is such a reliable bloomer once it settles in. Glad the new one arrived in good shape. With any luck it will fill out and put on a show just like the first one. Thanks for coming back to Nature Hills!

This lavender flowered hibiscus bush or tree mysteriously appeared in my lawn close to three years ago and after the untimely murder/death of my only granddaughter who shared a birthday with me, which is today. Not until yesterday, did I know the name of it when a friend visiting told me it was called the Rose of Sharon. A beautiful full blown non troublesome bush that come back every spring with lavender blooms. I know not how it got here unless by a greater power. A neigbor tried to tell me it was a weed. It is now a full blown tree. Lovely.

Dear Gerri,

Thank you so much for sharing your heartfelt story and tribute. It truly warms our hearts to hear how the Rose of Sharon hibiscus has become a meaningful part of your life, especially on such a poignant day. Your experience reflects the special connection between people, plants, and the mysteries of nature.

The Rose of Sharon is indeed a hardy and graceful beauty that reliably returns each spring with those lovely lavender blooms, bringing both color and comfort. We hope it continues to be a lovely reminder of your granddaughter and a serene presence in your lawn for many years to come.

Hello Daphne,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful update about your Blushing Bride Rose of Sharon! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that your plant is already rewarding you with not just two blooms, but more on the way—all in just three weeks! This variety is truly a showstopper, and its large, graceful flowers can really brighten any garden space.

Since it’s showing such healthy bloom early on, a gentle tip to keep your plant thriving is to ensure it gets plenty of sunlight—Rose of Sharon enjoys full sun—and consistent watering without letting the soil get soggy. A bit of mulch around the base can help retain moisture and reduce weeds, too. And if you’re up for it, pruning after the blooming cycle encourages even more vigorous growth next season.

We’re thrilled your new plant is off to such a fantastic start! Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have questions about further care or adding complementary plants around your Rose of Sharon.
