To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

A true supermodel of the shrub world - the Maries Doublefile Viburnum (Viburnum plicatum 'Mariesii') is nicknamed the Wedding Cake Viburnum, and it's easy to see why with its layers upon layers of horizontal branches stacked atop each other. Mariesii Viburnum is widely regarded as the most attractive shrub by experts! When in bloom and bespeckled with butterflies and bees, it becomes almost magical!

This variety of easy-care Viburnum will perform in either full sun or part shade. It needs at least four hours of direct sunlight a day. Well-drained soil is best. Elevate your shrubs in a raised bed if your soil retains water. Establish your plant with careful watering during its first season. Thereafter, provide a medium amount of water on a regular basis. Mulch over the root system to cut down on surface evaporation. Apply a three-inch layer, but keep it pulled back from the main stems.
After the flowers are finished in late spring, prune lightly to shape. Plan for the full height and spread of this shrub, so you never have to prune. But if you do give them a trim to shape, do so as needed immediately after flowering because blooms develop on this year's wood. You can also skip tip pruning and renewal prune instead to have fruit for birds. Remove the largest, thickest stems from the ground every few years. Leave the young stems in place, which will flower nicely for you next spring.
