Like the full moon against the black night sky, the gleaming, pure and radiant white, double bloom of the Sugar Moon™ Hybrid Tea Rose (Rosa 'WEKmemolo') is coupled with a fabulous fragrance! This Hybrid Tea is an award-winning selection with a classic spiraled bloom that is lushly petalled and very elegant! What more could you ask for bridal quality pure white blooms? Perhaps the ability to lose yourself in the beauty and intense sweet citrus scent of the big, pointed buds as they spiral open to show off broad petals of the purest white?
Snowy white, fully double blooms look delicate, but they are held on long, slender stems and offset with the most incredible, greenish-black leaves! The color play between darkness and light is outstanding! This tall beauty features natural vigor and very good disease resistance, too!
Sugar Moon™ Rose would be a magnificent memorial Rose to commemorate a loved one. Full, classically formed blooms feature up to 30 petals. Each flower is five inches across for a brilliant display! This modern Hybrid Tea Rose is so easy to care for! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 6 to 9 and forms an upright shrub 4-5 feet in height, but only spreading 2-3 feet in width, making it fairly space-saving in size!
Planting and Application:
As radiant as the lunar surface, Sugar Moon™ is a must-have for the Moon Garden! Include it in a Sissinghurst-style Castle garden design of green foliage plants, evergreens, and white-flowering to enjoy your landscape after hours! A Zen and meditation garden needs one of these radiant Roses too, the dark foliage and pure white blossoms giving a nod to Yin and Yang and mirrored in a pool of still water.
Sugar Moon™ of course makes exquisite cut flowers! So if your Rose garden, cut flower garden, or cottage border doesn't have a fragrant white Rose bush yet, Sugar Moon™ is a perfect Hybrid Tea Rose to start with! You'll adore bringing long-stemmed blooms inside and allowing the fragrance to fill the room while having more for the butterflies to enjoy outdoors.
The tall, yet narrow growth of this flowering ornamental Rose blooms all growing season with mindful deadheading, but from spring until frost, you'll enjoy an upright leafy hedge or backdrop plant! The lush foliage sets off other flowering plants as well as their own blooms, and line pathways without taking up precious space while anchoring garden beds beautifully! For a sophisticated vista, plant three or more in a curved lawn planting. Show them off to perfection with a backdrop of purple-foliage shrubs from NatureHills.com.
Though we guarantee your pollinators will feel underdressed when they visit. Keep this very upright, bushy cultivar in a sophisticated garden container for your balcony. Sugar Moon brings a chic look to any sunny setting! Pot one up in a large outdoor planter to keep the fragrant flowers close to seating areas and welcome guests on a sunny front porch!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Add black-tie formal blooms to any part of your garden without the formal care and fuss. Hybrid Tea Roses need full sun, where they will bask in at least six hours of sunlight a day for best flowering, and have good air circulation! Provide a location with the morning sun to dry their leaves and only water at the root zone. Plant in deep, organically enriched, fertile soil that is well-drained - never soggy. Water regularly, especially throughout the hot summer months. Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in zones colder than zone 7 should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall for best overwintering. Prune Roses in early spring just as you begin to see buds swell. Learn more about winterizing, and un-wintering your Roses in our Garden Blog, plus all the tips and tricks you need when pruning your new prized Rose bush!
