The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Soft and clear blueish-purple with buttery yellow fringed centers, the Boulevard® Olympia™ Clematis (Clematis 'Evipo099') will add colorful vertical interest to your summer gardens and container plantings! Sometimes the blooms can be semi-double and bloom along the entire stem from May through September!
Each pointed petal is delicately streaked in faint cream and magenta streaks, further making them enticing landing pads for pollinators as they show off in the sunlight! Olympia™ Clematis can grow vertically or sprawl along the ground without support as a flowering groundcover! Even curious hummingbirds will arrive to sip the nectar!
Snip a few stems for bouquets, but any you leave behind will become fuzzy, whirled seedheads for dried décor! You'll hear Clematis referred to as Old Man's Beard, and the seed heads provide fantastic winter interest. Boulevard® Clematis are gorgeous flowering vines, and Olympia™ is no exception! Olympia™ is cold and heat tolerant throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, growing into a 3-5 foot tall vine that spreads 2-3 feet in width.
Planting and Application:
Makes a beautiful feature of fences, trellises, and arches and is especially effective in containers! Weave a few of these hard-working, colorful plants into your Butterfly Garden. Try them with other Clematis varieties for a pleasing designer look. Olympia™ Clematis
If used vertically, ensure you give them something narrow to hold on to. Wrap a durable landscape fence around the base of your obelisk or tower, and tie up the upper growth as needed. Consider these structures to be a year-round sculptural definition for your planting beds. Let the last blooms of the season remain on the vine!
No matter how large or small your garden is, Boulevard® Olympia™ Clematis helps you make the most of it! Allow one or two to play around the base of your garden statuary to call more attention to your investment. Let them ramble as groundcover and flowering garden filler, winding around and through larger shrubs or tumbling over stones in a Rock Garden!
- Purple-Blue Pointed Blooms - Sometimes Semi-Double
- Rich Green Leaves & Vertical Growth With Support
- Long Lasting Bloom Time Summer to Fall
- Flower Bouquets, Hummingbirds & Pollinator-Friendly
- Vertical Color, Arbors, Trellis, Fences, Walls or Groundcover!
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Plant Clematis with the leaves in full sun, but the roots in partial shade. Use wood mulch or a layer of rock over the roots to keep them nice and cool. If you are using Olympia™ as a climber, please place your support firmly before you plant. It's best not to disturb their roots after planting. Give your beautiful Olympia™ a lifelong present that our expert growers swear by! It will require a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. However, Clematis won't tolerate standing water, so make sure you plant in well-drained soil, or elevate it in a raised planting bed.
Blooming on new and old wood, Type 2 Clematis pruning consists of varieties that bloom on both the current and previous year's growth. Once the first early flush of blooms finishes, simply snip them back. Relish the second flush of blooms later in the season! When pruning, keep variations in stem length to produce a better-balanced plant. Any weak or dead wood should be removed at this time as well. Then Every 3-5 years, Clematis appreciate root division to keep the vines vigorous.
- Best Flower Display in Full Sun & Partial Sun
- Appreciates Mulched, Well-Drained, Enriched Soil
- Moderate Moisture Needs
- Pruning Group 2 - Blooms On New & Old Wood
- Divide Every 3-5 Years
