Not particular about soil type, Sedum prefers average moisture and any kind of well-drained soil, and can also tolerate poor or rocky soils with ease. In fact, Sedum grown in organically rich soil are actually lanky and weak-stemmed. These adaptable, hardy perennials bloom from late summer through autumn.
