Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Add sizzle to your garden with the bold blooms of Perfecto Mundo® Double Dark Pink Azalea (Rhododendron 'NCRX7'). These super-saturated bright pink blooms with their coordinating deep pink blotches are sure to grab attention for months...far longer than other Azaleas.

Each large flowering truss is held atop dense, tidy shrubs with an elegant outline. You'll be proud to grow these mid-sized shrubs in your home garden, in containers and on commercial properties.

Planting and Application:

Vigorous, healthy and disease resistant Azaleas were developed at North Carolina State University and selected by Proven Winners®. They offer a lavish springtime bloom first on old wood from the year before; then rebloom again in midsummer through fall on new wood.

  • Use them to decorate the mid-layer of your design in either partial shade or sun. The dappled shade along the margins of woodlands is a wonderful place to feature a collection of Perfecto Mundo Azaleas.
  • With broad-leaved evergreen foliage, Double Dark Pink Azalea brings year-round color and becomes an architectural asset of your garden design. The
  • Take the visual impact of your north or east-facing foundation plantings to the next level by incorporating several planted as a low hedge. Space them three feet apart on center; measuring from the center of one to the center of the next.
  • For a perfect specimen in a Japanese Garden, underplant a Japanese Maple tree with Double Dark Pink Azalea. Consider the balance of scale...use more plants to suit a larger property.
  • There would be nothing so beautiful as a rim of Azalea lining the edge of a pond or water feature. Pair them with spreading Japanese Anemone perennials for an exquisite, natural reflected display.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Azaleas do best in well-drained soil with 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Provide afternoon shade in growing zones USDA Zones 9 - 10.

  • Cover them with pine straw mulch to keep the root zones cool, moist and slightly acidic with a lower pH. Be mindful not to plant Azaleas too deeply...keep the soil at the same level they grew in at the nursery, or mound up to improve drainage.
  • Apply a moderate amount of supplemental water on a regular basis. Weed around your Perfecto Mundo Azaleas, as their shallow roots resent having nearby competition.
  • Prune to shape right after the first flush of blooms is finished in spring. We recommend that you feed with an acid-lovers ericaceous flowering plant fertilizer according to the label instructions.
