The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Smaller plants for smaller gardens are all the rage! Unfortunately, smaller plants sometimes mean smaller flowers and less reliability. Thankfully, Let's Dance® Blue Jangles® Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'SMHMTAU') from Proven Winners® ColorChoice® doesn't fall into this category. This is a true compact Hydrangea and it only grows 24" tall and 36" wide!
But don't let its small size fool you. It gives armfuls of full-sized classic mophead, snowball-type flowers all season long! The flowers are easily swayed by your soil pH, too, which gives you options. Heavy acid soils give you the heavenly blue flowers you see in Nantucket postcards. Soil more alkaline? Then you'll have vivid show-stopping pink blooms. Is your soil something in between? Then you'll be treated to lush purple flowers. You can't go wrong with Blue Jangles® no matter which soil type you have!
This reliable rebloomer is hardy all the way to zone 5 and is true to its 'rebloomer' name! Blue Jangles® blooms on old wood and new wood so you get more flowers extending over a longer season, blooming multiple times. The mopheads hold up in a vase as well as those strong stems hold them up through storms and rain outdoors on the shrub! In fall, they dry to a lovely botanical tannish brown for winter interest or dried décor!
Planting and Application:
If you have a small garden, postage stamp courtyard, porch or balcony - then you will love this new Hydrangea. Full-sized flowers on a truly compact plant! The space-saving qualities of these vibrant flowering ornamentals mean rows of blooms, high-impact groupings or fantastic focal points throughout your landscape regardless of size! Even established landscapes can accommodate the size of these smaller shrubs!
Blue Jangles® is perfect for containers and small beds. Enjoy vase after vase of cut flowers all summer and fall from your own pint-sized garden! Line your seating areas with robust flowers all summer in planters or in the ground! Month after month of butterflies and color!
- Big Round Pink or Blue Flower Clusters
- Handsome & Textured Foliage
- Compact Rebloomer That Really Reblooms
- Smaller Size & Full-Sized Mopheads
- Containers & Planters, Small Yards, Porches & Patios
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Bigleaf Hydrangea needs full sun in cooler climates to do their best flowering and strongest stems, but in hotter climates, they appreciate afternoon shade with morning sun access. They also prefer to be planted in moist, well-drained soil. Moisture is a necessity for this plant, so do not let it dry out during the summer's heat. Keep regularly watered and apply a thick layer of mulch over the roots to keep them cool and moist. Only prune Bigleaf Hydrangea after they've flowered or else you may risk removing next year's blooms, it's instead better to prune lightly in the early spring when you see new growth and only to remove dead tips and old blooms.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Moist to Average Conditions
- Adaptable to Nearly Any Well-Drained Soil
- Prune After Flowering
- Easy Care & Low Maintenance
