This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Love flowers? First introduced at the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show, Boulevard® Chevalier™ Clematis (Clematis 'Evipo040' PP# 25,608) produces huge, cool-toned blooms from summer through fall.
You'll be forever fascinated by this compact selection. On a single plant, you'll see blue-purple flowers that are single to semi-double, and even fully double.
Use them in a high-profile location, where you and your guests can delight in the diversity of flower forms. Lose yourself in these incredible blooms.
Eight showy, star-shaped sepals deliver a beautiful color play, with a red-violet bar displayed on an amethyst background. If grown in a bit more shade, the blooms grow deeper purple.
Chevalier's ruffled sepals surrounding an outstanding lemon-yellow boss of stamens. Let the last flowers of the season dry on the vine, and enjoy that swirled, feathery pom-pom for welcome winter interest.
There are many ways to use beautiful Clematis, from in-ground plantings to container culture. They'll help you gain flowering privacy, or accent a special garden statue.
This is an easy-care vine that requires minimal care. This Pruning Group 3 member blooms on new growth, and needs a simple trimming down to knee height once a year in early spring.
Chevalier is a bit larger than other Boulevard series of vines. However, it's still very manageable in an urban, small space garden.

How to Use Boulevard® Chevalier™ Clematis in the Landscape
Each sepal of this indulgent selection plays out a colorful drama between warm and cool tones Use the dynamic depth of color to your advantage.
Decorate your outdoor entertainment area with an oversized container garden. Allow one or two Chevalier Clematis to climb a special tower or obelisk securely planted in the center of the pot.
On a smaller balcony where the container will be placed against the railing; use a single vine and offset the tower towards the back of the display.
Where you have the room to allow foot traffic all the way around your potted garden; plant two or three around a centered obelisk or larger shrub.
Achieve a sophisticated and elegant look with high-end materials. Or...let their fun side shine with a "cheap and cheerful" style.
They look magnificent spilling over the side of hanging baskets, as well! Create a relaxing outdoor room, where you can appreciate each and every bloom up close and personal.
Butterflies love the nectar, and will come back again and again for a reliable snack. Plant a low trellis along the north side of a planned perennial Pollinator Garden.
Outdoor structures make a romantic addition to gardens. People are taking claim of their side yards and front yards, too!
You'll love the look of Chevalier intertwined with Climbing Roses. We recommend you plant the Rose first to establish the structure canes, then add your Clematis.
For a very modern look, create a tall raised bed and fill it with scrambling Chevalier Clematis. Mix and match additional Pruning Group 3 Clematis vines from our extensive online catalog.
You can even improve the plebian look of chain link fencing with these special blooms. Plant a row of Boulevard Chevalier Clematis every two feet and train the vines to fill in the gaps.
The neighbors will love them, too!
#ProPlantTips for Care
Plant Chevalier Clematis where the stems and leaves get full sun, but the roots are shaded. Mulch is very helpful, but should be pulled back away from directly touching the stems.
If you will use it as a climber, it's best to secure the growing support firmly before you plant. These lovely plants resent having their roots disturbed.
Help your new plant access both water and micronutrients its whole life with Nature Hills Root Booster. Our expert growers use this highly recommended formula to create a symbiotic support of tiny feeder roots.
Include a packet with your order and follow directions during planting.
Keep your Clematis evenly moist with consistent water on a regular basis. The soil needs to be well-drained, so plant in raised beds if you need to improve drainage.
Use drip irrigation to keep container-grown Clematis happy and healthy. Be sure to use mulch in your containers, too.
Chevalier blooms on this year's growth. In early spring, prune it straight across, leaving about two feet of growth.
Be prepared to answer questions about your fabulous Boulevard Chevalier Clematis. Please be patient with it the first season, you'll be enthralled by its lush, bushy habit once the roots are well-established.
