Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Dazzle yourself and your garden guests with the charm of ground-hugging Karmina Cranesbill (Geranium x cantabrigiense 'Karmina'). Let it play along the edge of your planting beds for a sweet flower show from late spring through frost.

Each white flower deepens with a hint of pink, and the centers feature a showy sprinkling of pink stamens. Every stage from bud to bloom is extraordinarily attractive on this noteworthy cultivar.

The pretty, pale blooms are reflexed for a wide-open look. Because they are held on long stems, they seem to float above the lobed foliage. Butterflies adore Karmina Geraniums nectar and come back to visit throughout their long period of bloom. You'll be delighted with their dance!

Even though the Karmina Cranesbill stays tight and compact, this designer secret makes a big impact. Repeat them throughout the sunny and partially shaded area in your landscape to set a consistent yet subtle tone for a high-end look.

You'll be adding plenty of texture, too. Cranesbill has intricate foliage that you'll study closely. And Karmina Cranesbill is a special choice whose leaves develop a welcome reddish overcast in fall. Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 5 to 8, these small perennials grow just 6-12 inches tall and wide, gradually spreading by way of hardy underground rhizomes.

Planting and Application:

Showy edging and bright garden filler, these long-blooming perennials bring butterflies and color to your sun gardens! Pretty enough for the Cottage Garden, bold enough to hold their own in the mixed Perennial border, and tough enough to grow in Rock Gardens!

Mass several together to create a colorful groundcover where you want a lush presentation. Plant them 12 inches apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. The dense growth will block weeds and act as a living mulch throughout the garden!

Keep Karmina as a "Spiller" around the edges of a container for a lovely, soft addition, or fill planters with multiple Karmina as the main feature with long-lasting color! These engaging plants add a fanciful flair!

It will stay semi-evergreen in warmer summer climates, providing lasting greenery and filler, butterflies, and hardy fluffy, lacy finery! Once the first wave of blooms has passed, you can shear back the plants to encourage denser growth and a sporadic rebloom later in the season.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Cranesbill Geranium needs a full sun area, but in warmer growing zones, these perennials appreciate some afternoon shade. For best results, plant in a moderate moisture area in a well-drained site, but once established, can be very drought tolerant. Add 3-4 inches of mulch at the base of your plants to help maintain adequate moisture during drier times of the year.

Geraniums are easily divided in spring or fall and help fill your landscape faster. You can deadhead/shear after the first wave of blooms to later enjoy a second! In late autumn or early spring, trim last year's foliage down to a 1-inch length in early spring. In warm climates where Cranesbill is evergreen, simply rake out fallen leaves gently to tidy up the mounds in the spring.

  • Loves Full Shade & Partial Sun/Shade
  • Well-Drained Humusy Soil - Tolerates Clay
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Clean Mounds In
  • Easy To Care For Perennials
  • Deer & Rabbits Seldom Bother These
