Excellent quality shrub.

The White Chiffon Rose of Sharon Shrub arrived safe and sound. It was carefully packaged and once unpacked, appeared as advertised.

White Chiffon is such a rewarding shrub to grow, and it's always good to hear it arrived in solid shape and ready to go in the ground. If you want to encourage the best blooms next summer, a light pruning in early spring before new growth starts will really help it along. Thanks for sharing your experience, Ann.

It’s growing

It’s growing, looks great

White Chiffon Rose of Sharon is a reliable one once it gets going, and it sounds like yours is settling in nicely. If it keeps putting on growth this season, you can expect those soft, double white blooms to really put on a show. Thanks for the update, Edward.

Having a pink one already in full bloom is a great sign for what's coming with the white. White Chiffon tends to put on a long show once it gets going, and the two colors planted near each other look really striking together. Thanks for sharing, Louise, and enjoy the blooms when they open!

Fantastic addition to a garden

The tree form can be shaped to fit an any size garden. Nice, big flowers. Be careful not to overwater or overfertilize. Choose a sunny area in the garden or in the yard.

rose of sharon in white with no red throat

I have this variety void of a red throat that I thought was unique. It grows along with other colors with red throats in white, lavender and pink that I formed into a hedge row along the driveway about 60 foot long.

A perfect Star

Being from Texas and have been in Colorado for 15 year I have been looking for a white Hibiscus for my mother in Texas but never could fine one that was inspiring like the lone Star of Texas until I saw this beautiful, pure white flower. This will be a suprise to my Mom for her 42 anniversary.

I could have written the same review as the one from ROSE in Winston Salem. Her words describe my same feelings about DIANA. Yes JOY, SO MUCH JOY when I look ay her blooms. They are sooooo beautiful, and are one of my VERY FAVORITES of all my flowers.

Diana

I bought my Diana afew years ago at a nearby garden shop. It is so beautiful, and has brought me so much JOY. I could just stare at the blooms, and it keeps blooming for a long time. The only bad thing is, I have so much shade, and it needs more sun, so I think I will move it next spring to a sunny spot, if I can find one. We have so many large trees. I just wanted to say that I really LOVE DIANA.

Frequently Asked Questions

How hardy is it in winter?

  • French Cabaret™ Blush Rose of Sharon is hardy in USDA zones 5 to 8, tolerating winter temperatures down to -20°F. This low-maintenance shrub requires minimal winter protection in its recommended zones. Mulch around the base in fall for best results.

Does French Cabaret™ Blush prefer full sun, partial shade, or full shade?

  • French Cabaret™ Blush Rose of Sharon thrives in full sun for maximum flowering from July to October. This hardy shrub tolerates partial shade but produces fewer blooms. Plant in zones 5-8 with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for best results, available at naturehills.com.

When does French Cabaret™ Blush bloom and how long does the flowering period last?

  • French Cabaret™ Blush blooms from July through October, providing nearly four months of continuous flowering. The sterile flowers put all their energy into bloom production rather than seed development, ensuring prolific blooms throughout the season. Plant in zones 5-8 for reliable performance.

What plants make good companions to plant alongside French Cabaret™ Blush?

  • French Cabaret™ Blush pairs beautifully with perennials that bloom before and after its July-October season. Consider spring bulbs, summer coneflowers, and fall asters to extend color. Plant shorter companions 4-6 feet away to accommodate its 6-7 foot spread in zones 5-8.

Is French Cabaret™ Blush susceptible to any common diseases or pest problems?

  • French Cabaret™ Blush Rose of Sharon is generally resistant to most common diseases and pests, making it a low-maintenance choice for zones 5-8. Like other Hibiscus syriacus varieties, it may occasionally attract aphids or Japanese beetles during peak bloom season from July to October. Good air circulation around mature plants (6-8 feet) helps prevent any fungal issues, and you can shop this hardy variety at naturehills.com.
