Growing Zones 5-10
Watch the showy blooms of Sunset Horizon™ Rose (Rosa 'MEISistoma') change colors for a look of a Tahitian evening! The large blooms begin bright yellow suffused with red tones, especially toward the petal edges. If red roses symbolize romantic love, then Sunset Horizon™ Rose means that fun and happy "I married my best friend" kind of romantic love!
As each bloom ages, the vivid cherry red color intensifies until it covers nearly the entire bloom. On a single plant, you'll have a lot of color tones to study. Each Rose fades to a deep cerise pink for even more visual interest. Cut armloads for charming indoor arrangements each season, because they almost continuously blanket themselves with colorful blooms. Invite butterflies to your landscape! They love the ruffled petals of this Floribunda because it's easier for them to land on single flowers.
Healthy, dark green, semi-glossy foliage resists black spot with ease. You'll get the color you love, without fuss or muss. Durable Sunset Horizon™ is even grown on its own root. That's a big boon for northern gardeners, as it reliably regrows those splendid blooms after hard winters throughout USDA growing zones 5 to 10! Gift yourself this special modern cultivar!
Planting and Application:
Use this robust selection for a hedge, and you'll make people smile! Run them along your property line as a "friendly fence" and colorful outdoor room wallpaper. For a solid screen, spacing them 30 inches apart. You'll appreciate their health and vigor for many years!
If you rent, try growing them in containers on your balcony to baby them with daily devotion over your morning coffee. Sunset Horizon™ Rose makes the perfect "Thriller", after all. Pair them with Bella Sol™ Potentilla as a Filler, and let Lime Zinger Sedum soften the edges of a long-lived, hardy container! Add a pop of color to your front porch in the sun!
Give Roses water and sun, and watch them flower for months! Use it as a backdrop in a Cutting Garden, and don't forget to include Roses in your Butterfly Gardens. Pollinators come for their nectar, and they'll stay to visit your flowering tomato plants, as well! Devote space in your Rose Garden to grow these extended-bloom shrubs, too!
This fun-loving variety makes a wonderful plant gift! Try it as a housewarming present, birthday present, or cheerful way to brighten someone's day! They are easy enough for beginning gardeners with the right planting spot!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Make a great choice about where you'll place these disease-resistant Roses! Sunset Horizon™ Floribunda Rose is an improved cultivar that doesn't require complicated spray schedules. Choose a site with morning sun and at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. They like air circulation, so pull them away from walls and fences.
Well-drained soil is another important consideration for Roses. Elevate your planting with additional soil in a raised bed to improve drainage. If you'll be growing Sunset Horizon™ Rose in containers, make sure they have large drainage holes. Outdoor containers shouldn't have saucers underneath, let the water drain away.
During planting, add symbiotic Nature Hills Root Booster for life-long support to the feeder roots. This formula helps your plant access micronutrients from the soil, and it never wears out! Water your Rose regularly and it is best to wet the ground, rather than the foliage.
You'll want to place a three-inch layer of arborist mulch over the root system. Feed hungry Roses good-quality, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer. Use a formula for flowering plants and avoid lawn fertilizers. For Roses grown on their own root, prune back to six inches high in early spring.
