Planting & Care Instructions

With a double row of peachy-pink petals, the Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Oso Easy® Mango Salsa Rose (Rosa x 'ChewperAdventure') delights your garden beds and borders, and becomes a bright addition to your Rose garden! There are not many Roses easier to care for than Oso Easy® Shrub Rose bushes!

The peachy-apricot petals have pink highlights as they mature and can appear a dusky pink when fully open! Highlighted by a glowing golden-yellow crown of stamen in the centers of each open flower!

This lovely, rounded Rose shrub makes a big statement in sunny locations throughout your yard. And because each tropical bloom features a hint of both pink and orange undertones, you'll be able to partner it with just about any plant you like! Compact, rounded bushes when fully grown, they're thickly branched and full of glossy green leaves with delicate toothy edges!

Oso Easy® Roses tolerate a wide range of conditions and climates and require very little work from you! The intense color of the blooms keeps popping all summer, right up until frost! The colors give your garden a tropical, fruity, giddy, cheerful presence and highlight all other flower and Rose colors!

Planting and Application:

Mango Salsa is a supreme bloomer and keeps the buds returning. Ideal blooms for cutting gardens and pollinator beds, where the nearly continuous blooms will call a wide variety of butterflies and bees, plus armloads for you to bring the joyous blooms indoors for your bouquets! The mildly sweet scent is perfectly never overpowering!

Ideal in rows for low privacy and property definition, where the thorns will make two and four-legged trespassers think twice. Pot up in planters & containers for patios, or light up your garden beds and borders, accent Perennial beds and brighten your existing foundation plantings with Oso Easy® Mango Salsa Roses.

Need to divide your front yard from a busy sidewalk? Mix different color Roses from the Oso Easy® series for low maintenance property division that blooms all growing season! Need a dreamy welcome home? Create a row along your driveway or brighten your path to the front door! They tolerate road salt, so you can also use them right along the street!

For a continuous hedge, plant them between three and four feet apart on center. You'll measure from the center of one to the center of the next. Want faster results? Place them closer together. Prefer a looser look? Give them a little elbow room from their neighbor.

Get ready to see butterflies! They'll flock to the nectar, and come back for more again and again. Why not add their "flower power" to your Butterfly Garden or include their elegant long stems in a Cut Flower border?

Can you imagine a more cheerful gift for a new homeowner or a friend down in the dumps?

  • Tropical Mango-Hued Blooms Mature to Dark Pink
  • Rounded Bushes of Glossy Dark Green Leaves
  • Containers, Borders, Hedges, Specimen & Gifts
  • Continuous Bloom Late Spring til Frost
  • Great for Cut Flowers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Oso Easy® Rose bushes flower best in full sun, preferring morning sun, and handle heat and humidity with ease. Plant in enriched, highly organic soil that is well-drained for best results. Fertilize regularly and add 3-4 inches of arborist mulch around this plant will ensure that the Rose is getting even moisture and the special treatment it deserves without requiring much labor from you.

Apply a medium amount of even moisture to keep the soil moist, but not wet. Use a three-inch layer of mulch over the root system to keep it nice and cool. This is especially true of container-grown plants or those in raised beds. Cut down on your maintenance by installing an automatic drip irrigation system. It's easy, and the results are well worth it!

Wait until early spring to prune back last year's growth down to 12 inches. Remove any broken, crossing, or winter-damaged branches. Find more about winterizing, and un-wintering your Roses in our Garden Blog, plus all the tips and tricks you need when pruning your new prize Rose bush!

  • Full Sun
  • Provide Regular Fertility
  • Consistent Moderate Moisture & Mulched Beds
  • Easy Care & Low Maintenance Roses
  • Deadhead Often & Prune Late Winter/Early Spring

Rose Bush FAQs

Where Is The Best Place To Plant Rose Bushes?

Rose bushes need a protected location, prefer full sun, favor the drying power of the morning sun, and flower best in at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Choose a location in good, enriched soil that drains well and has good air circulation.

What Is The Best Month to Plant Roses?

You can plant Roses any time if you are able to provide enough consistent moisture and attention. While there is not a specific month that is best, generally because it changes with temperatures, climate and growing zone. However, the easiest times of the year to get Rose bushes established in your landscape are in spring after the last frost date, and in fall about 4-6 weeks before the first frost.

Do Roses Come Back Every Year?

Rose bushes are deciduous woody perennial shrubs and will return bigger and better each year.
