Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Whether you're new to planting garlic or an experienced garlic gardener, there's one name that comes up time and time, again: Spanish Roja Hardneck Garlic. Spanish Roja (Allium sativum 'Spanish Roja') is one of the most popular types of garlic because of its stunning appearance, true garlic flavor, and reliable growing nature.
Spanish Roja Hardneck Garlic is a well-known heirloom variety with a papery-white outer peel with stunningly decorated striped mahogany-violet cloves hidden beneath. Spanish Roja's thin skin peels easily.
Spanish Roja adds a great zing to any dish. It's a go-to choice for professional chefs, restaurants, and home cooks.
When you're making salsa, steak, or shrimp scampi, there's no better garlic choice than Spanish Roja Hardneck Garlic. It truly screams "garlic!" Any dish needing a garlic-forward flavor needs Spanish Roja Hardneck Garlic. You haven't tasted chimichurri until you've tried it with Spanish Roja Garlic.
Spanish Roja Hardneck Garlic performs well in northern climates when cloves are separated and planted in fall. Each clove will develop roots and grow all fall and into winter right up until the soil freezes just like your tulip bulbs will. Keep your Spanish Roja Hardneck Garlic happy by planting it in full sun with well-drained, loose soil. Space your cloves about 4 inches apart in rows at least 6 inches apart, with the root side down and pointed side up into the loosened soil. Make sure to cover with an inch or two of soil and water in well.
Then in the spring, your garlic plants will start growing early and strong which will make nice large bulbs of garlic that can be harvested in July or so depending upon where you are located. After harvesting, store your Spanish Rojas in a cool, dry location. Their violet coloration makes them a striking choice for impressive garlic braids.
This prolific garlic makes a great addition to any veggie garden and will produce enough for you to give your friends and family. We will warn you though, they're like to fall in love with this delicious and gorgeous variety. Find out what all the buzz is about by ordering your Spanish Roja Hardneck Garlic in time for your fall planting.
