To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

It's easy to see how the Sombrero® Sangrita Coneflower earned its name. Throughout summer it blooms with sombrero-shaped blooms that are the color of sangria. These bright blooms have a daisy shape with maroon to brown cones and scarlet-red to burgundy petals tipped with perfect points. Backed by a mound of well-branched green leaves that add a coarse texture all growing season long!
The Sombrero® series of Coneflower isn't one of those plants that wilt and fade within a few days of flowering, they bloom for months! And it isn't shy when it comes to its blooms. This well-branched stunner dons a complete costume of vibrant blooms. Its stems are even a rich burgundy! #ProPlantTips for Care:
To keep your Sombrero® Sangrita Coneflower shining its brightest, plant it in full sun. This glowing plant will perform its best with medium moisture soil that drains well. Doing best in well-drained-soil-loving Echinacea loves the drier to poor soil areas, even tolerating clay soils, just as long as they drain. In winter the crowns can rot in soggy conditions, so ensure you have great drainage or create it by planting into a mound or raised bed. Or plant them in containers.
Use Nature Hills Root Booster when planting and topdress with 3-4 inches of Mulch and regular fertilizer to give them a boost. During the first season, please pay close attention to watering. Once these herbaceous Perennials' deep, Prairie-style roots are well-established in your soil, Sombrero® Coneflowers become waterwise. You'll get more blooms over the growing season with a regular schedule of supplemental water.
Deadhead the blooms after they are fully open for indoor flower arrangements. You'll encourage a new flush of blooms with this quick task, and decorate your home at the same time. Leave the last blooms of the season standing to give you some much-needed winter interest. They'll develop their beautiful seed heads that help feed local songbirds. In early spring, remove the spent flowers to within an inch of the ground.
