To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Starting from its fragrant white blossoms to the dark, near-black, red fruit that's a delight to eat off the tree, to its sweet, sharp excellent Cherry flavor! Plus you'll love the larger-than-average-sized fruits!
Good-sized trees when left to grow to full mature size, Skeena Sweet Cherry fills out its picturesque spreading form with lush foliage all summer long. The perfect backdrop for those gorgeous blooms and to highlight the dangling near-black fruit! These are some high-quality, commercial-grade fruit and have good storage life and are extremely flavorful! They freeze well and hold their shape when baked and are overall a versatile fruit in the kitchen!
Originating in Canada, Skeena is split and crack resistant so it's perfect for planting in areas of the country where this can be a disheartening issue! Also perfect for areas of the country prone to late spring frosts, the Cherries ripen closer to late July or August in many climates. Plus these are fantastic pollinator trees for your Brooks Sweet, Van, and Stella Cherries and other later blooming varieties!
Planting and Application:
Skeena is perfect for any sized yard or garden, able to be maintained as large or small as you have room to spare! Full mature size trees reach 12-18 feet in height and 15-20 feet in width, making them wonderful shade trees or delightful groupings for screening and edible landscaping ornamental plantings.

Skeena Cherry Trees are hardy in USDA growing zones 5 through 9 and do need the benefits of full sun. Plant in a well-drained, enriched location with good air circulation and protection from cold pockets and strong wind. Prune in the late winter or early spring before you see new growth.
