Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

This unique type of Kousa Dogwood Trees will enjoy a spot that has full sun and partial shade. It loves organically rich, slightly acidic soil, that is moist but not wet, so water it regularly, but do not overwater. If your soil lacks plant matter, feel free to add compost, this will help provide nutrients as well as improve drainage. They love having their root systems covered with a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch to keep the root system evenly moist and cooler.

Prune Dogwood to shape when dormant, and remove water growth or suckers after flowering. Decide what you want to keep first, then remove crossed branches and branches heading into the interior of the canopy to open it up for sunlight penetration and air circulation.

  • Full Sun & Partial/Afternoon Shade
  • Needs Well-Drained Acidic Soil
