Growing Zones 5-11
Never before has there been a more perfect patio container plant! The Pink Knock Out® Shrub Rose (Rosa x 'Radcon') is the same beautiful color and easy care as the original but in a compact version! The uses for these vibrant pink blooms are endless! You'll be pleasantly surprised year after year at this Rose bush's long-lasting blooms. From late spring until autumn, you can count on Pink Knock Out® for fantastic flower power!
Each spring, you'll be greeted with lush blossoms smothering dark-green foliage. This is quite reminiscent of the original Knock Out® collection with one difference, it's small enough to fit anywhere! The size doesn't affect that classic Pink bloom and has that Rose fragrance by any means! These blooms will perfume the air and offer you another reason to stop and smell the flowers!
It's no secret that Roses are a pollinator's favorite! Butterflies will add their own flair to the already stunning blossoms with their intricately colored wings. Sit back and watch the winged spectacle parade through your garden!
Unlike some other Roses, Knock Out® blossoms won't fade or shrink in the sun. They'll stay that glorious hot pink we all know and love. The non-fading Roses are perfect for floral design and creating lovely arrangements to decorate the home! You could even give a few to your friends and family, but we bet you'll want to keep those bouquets for yourself.
Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 through 9 and grow to a modest 3-4 feet in height, but spread a nice 3-4 feet in width!
Planting and Application:
Get the best of both worlds with a showstopping Rose bush that can fit anywhere, because Pink Knock Out® does amazingly in containers and patio planters! Larger planters and year-round porch pots will add long-lasting blooms to your patio and even balconies! The butterflies will adore the blossoms and stop by for a visit. Plant them in a pot, and use these to decorate your sun-drenched balcony or porch.
It's that rare variety of Landscaping Shrub Rose that you can plant and enjoy without a lot of fuss! The tidy spread of this long-blooming Shrub Rose makes it as perfect as a low-growing Shrub Rose for flowering ornamental 'living mulch' between larger shrubs and as edging along pathways and the edges of garden beds. Use one to create a showy accent in your perennial garden or plant in clumps, interspersed throughout your beds for a truly breathtaking groundcover.
Add a single specimen to your cottage and perennial beds and borders, or accent your home's front steps, mailbox, or near driveways to welcome you home! Use a pair flanking on either side of your front door, or create interest with grouped accents and anchors planted at the corners of your home.
Very hardy and tolerant, these tough plants work for both residential and commercial plantings, thriving in almost any condition! Use in lower water-use gardens, as Firewise landscaping buffer zones, and watch as that hell strip lights up with color and charm! These plants make excellent additions to foundation plantings. Imagine several of them planted together for a big impact!
Plant them two feet apart on center to create low hedges that grow together. Or, use multiple rows planted in a staggered zigzagging pattern to fill a wide, open area. You'll appreciate how easy-care your new mass planting spectacle is when you fill large areas in profuse bright pink blooms! Go for the gusto and mix and match with other double and single Knock Out® Roses for a rainbow display!
Sometimes Knock Out® Roses form orange Rose Hips in the autumn and look great as winter décor and as winter interest. Birds love these showy Hips and they can be made into tea and preserves.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Thriving throughout USDA growing zones 4 through 9 and grow to a modest 2-3 feet in height, but spread a nice 3-4 feet in width! Knock Out® Roses have excellent hardiness and disease resistance so they won't always need the fungicide treatments that many other Roses do, and are generally maintenance-free. It's even drought-tolerant! You will have loads of blooms in full sun!
Use a balanced fertilizer formulated for Roses, and it is important to remember not to use fertilizers while these Roses are still established. Let them go through a bloom cycle first. Once you've had Pink Knock Out® for a year or two, you can apply the fertilizer after the first wave of flowering.
While other flower bushes might need continual deadheading and general cleanup through the season, the Pink Knock Out® is just fine being left alone. It's self-cleaning and will drop its flowers as they get done blooming, talk about easy! Read all you need about Rose pruning here, and about winterizing Roses, and un-wintering Roses inspiring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
