Frequently Asked Questions

How do I keep Noble Maiden Lupine blooming longer?
Deadheading spent flower spikes can encourage a second flush of blooms later in the season.

Is Noble Maiden Lupine invasive?
No, but it can self-seed if seed pods are left to mature. Removing them prevents excessive spread. Nature Hills uses Plant Sentry™ to only ship these plants where they will not get into trouble.

Does this Lupine require staking?
Not usually, but in very windy areas, it may benefit from some support to keep its tall spikes upright.

Can I grow Noble Maiden Lupine in containers?
Due to its deep taproot, it is better suited to garden beds rather than containers.
