Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. - Apply a 3-4 inch layer of mulch to help retain moisture and protect the roots.
Fertilizing
- Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to encourage healthy growth and abundant blooms.
Pruning & Deadheading
- Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering.
- After the first flush, cut back flower stalks to basal foliage to promote new growth.
- In fall, clean mounds before winter, trimming back in early spring before new growth emerges.
Staking & Support
- In especially windy locations, add a stake or trellis to support the tall wands to prevent flopping.
