Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Bright lime green foliage is made in the shade! The brilliant hue of Guacamole Coral Bells (Heuchera 'Guacamole') is consistent from top to bottom, forming a cool green mound of ruffled, textured leaves!

Bursting onto the scene in early spring and lasting until frost, these plants are occasionally evergreen in warm climates. The soft foliage is the perfect backdrop for the tall, dainty sprays of tiny, creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers that form in summer! These beautiful blooms attract their fair share of butterflies and even a hummingbird or two.

These blooms add frilly, fine-texture to your garden and light up the gloomy shade, but they're also beautiful in bouquets and floral arrangements! Guacamole is a versatile plant, as at home in the garden as it is in shaded planters on your porch or patio. They always form neat and tidy clumps that are low maintenance and resistant to slugs.

Planting and Application:

Guacamole makes you want to break out the chips and dip and gather some friends! Plant around your shady seating areas where these plants thrive in the cooling relief of the shade of larger trees and shrubs. Create impressive groundcover and mass plantings of eye-popping color! Or use as facer plants to hide the bare stems of larger, more mature plants and along the front of your foundation plantings.

Ideal in shaded cottage gardens, or as edging to ease the transition between lawn and garden, this is versatile filler for your perennial and pollinator borders. Coral Bells add fantastic contrast as both spiller and filler to shaded patio pots and containers.

  • Brilliant Green Ruffled & Textured Leaves
  • Neat & Tidy Mounds
  • Dainty Creamy White Blossoms
  • Pollinators & Delicate Cut Flowers
  • Containers, Edging & Shade Gardens

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Coral Bells do their best in full shade but in cooler climates can tolerate a bit of sun. They also prefer very enriched, well-drained, highly organic and consistently moist soil. But are not particular on soil type.

Coral bells are incredibly easy to care for!
  • Full Shade & Part Sun
  • Consistently Moist Soil
  • Enriched Organic Soil
  • En Masse & Erosion Control
