It is covered with sweet white flowers in springtime, many local pollinators will get their fill of the nectar-rich blooms. All season long, Ground Hug looks crisp and fresh with rounded, glossy, green leaves.
This little plant has a big personality, growing low to the ground but giving you a nice spread. It is a real champ in tough conditions. Don't forget about the fall color display! The leaves turn an amazing burnished purple as the nights get colder.
Planting and Application:
You'll polish up the edges of your planting beds, and fill wide, open areas as these ground-hugging shrubs fill in all the hard-to-mow hillsides and slopes, stopping erosion as they grow! Use these ground covering plants to suppress weeds in an attractive way. Include it at the edge of street plantings, sidewalks and driveways where the salt spray won't bother it. Use as edging, rock gardens, rain gardens, filler and more!

You'll get the most fruit in full sun, but Ground Hug can handle part shade too! Go ahead, plant it in either acidic or alkaline soil, or poor soil as long as it drains well, and let it fill into a dense mat for you. It is extremely cold hardy and tolerant of high heat and humidity, plus salt spray won't bother it either!
