Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Yummy hues! Add a sweet burst of bold color to brighten up your sunny spots! First Editions® Marmalade® Potentilla (Potentilla fruticosa 'Jefmarm') offers exceptional performance and gorgeous double blooms for months! Although each citrusy bloom is small, their double row of petals makes a huge visual impact. You'll love having so many cheerful flowers over the season!
Snip a few to bring indoors. They make a fun cut flower to use in tiny bud vases on your breakfast table. Don't worry … you'll have plenty to share with critical populations of beneficial pollinators. Adding plenty of flowering plants to your landscape looks amazing, but also provides plenty of nectar resources to keep your local ecological systems happy and healthy.
Feel great about this floriferous choice. Marmalade® Potentilla develops into a lush, well-branched, rounded little shrub. Spread some joy with their easy charm. Like their namesake, they'll add a punch of tasty color to start your day. Even novice gardeners will have wild success with these flowering shrubs, so they're fantastic gifts that are sure to cheer anyone up!
You may hear Potentilla called Cinquefoil. These beloved plants are found on many continents and are admired for their fine-textured leaves as a green symbol of loyalty and strength. Perhaps that's because they are so durable. Marmalade® Potentillas may look petite and tender...but they survive arctic-style cold in USDA growing zones 2 - 6!
Planting and Application:
There are so many ways to decorate your daily life with these darling little plants. Layer in these compact deciduous flowering shrubs wherever you want a zippy touch of color. Make your family and friends smile whether you grow Marmalade® Potentillas in the ground, or use them in containers. Create a happy place on your balcony with several pots filled with Marmalade®.
Potted containers make a very welcome gift, too! Show off your good taste on Mother's Day! Trust us...she'll be thrilled with the flower power. Buy one or two for yourself, and place a matched pair of outdoor containers on either side of your front door.
After their first season, in-ground plants become drought tolerant. They are an excellent choice for xeriscapes and easy garden designs and are recommended on many Firescaping/Fire-wise lists. Commercial property owner? Use their bold hues to draw the eye of passersby with this water-wise, low-growing shrub.
Why not mix in a Mandarin Tango® Potentilla, too? Mix and match our Potentilla cultivars for a custom "sweet and sour" look that coordinates beautifully! Potentilla is a member of the Rose family and mixes well with other perennials and flowering shrubs. Create a delightful mixed bed with coordinating Easy Elegance® All the Rage Rose and a contrasting, red-foliaged selection like First Editions® Lambrusco™ Barberry.
We offer so many options to choose from. Bring the heat with red, orange and yellow tones, or go bold by pairing Marmalade® with blue and purple blooms to really "pop" your planting. Marmalade® Potentilla is a great choice to improve the look of your front yard foundation planting. Expand existing plantings as needed to tuck a row of these accents on the sunny side of evergreen shrubs.
You can even use these cute shrubs in formal gardens. Replace the annual bedding plants in the center of Boxwood-lined rectangles with these easy-care modern cultivars. Enjoy the process of planning out a new garden bed. Reclaim some of the lawn to develop a spectacular island bed for a pretty view from the deck.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
This sturdy little shrub loves sunshine! Give them at least six hours of direct sunlight a day for the most plentiful flowering display. Plant Marmalade® in well-drained soil. If you need to improve drainage, add additional soil to a raised bed. They will require a consistent schedule of water to get their roots established. Afterward, please water in extended high heat to protect your investment. Container-grown plants need water regularly.
Mulch is a great idea to keep the soil cool and reduce surface evaporation. Apply a three-inch layer over the roots, then pull it back away from directly touching the stems. Shape them with light pruning in early spring, but avoid cutting to ground level. Instead, rejuvenate them by cutting a few of the thickest, oldest stems out every three years; and leave younger stems in place to bloom their heads off.
