To keep this weeping tree at its happiest, place it somewhere in full sun and well-drained soil. However, it does alright in both dry conditions and even a bit of standing water. Acidic soil is best along with a thick layer of mulch around the base. These trees do best with supplemental moisture during extended drought and prolonged heat, however, they love moist to high-moisture soil environments.
