To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Oh snap! A dwarf Daylily that's also reblooming? You bet!

This dwarf Daylily means business! More red than pink, Little Business Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Little Business') will command attention wherever you put it! The soft coral to raspberry-red flowers will grab your eye from across the garden!

The flowers are smaller than full-sized daylilies, but they are very well-proportioned to the diminutive size of this plant! They grow in clusters and will repeat bloom all summer! Bees and butterflies flock to these showy, fragrant flowers! You will love snipping a few of these vibrant blooms for your bouquets!

Little Business is evergreen in milder climates but will come back year after year in places where it's not. One of the easiest plants you will ever put in your garden! Very heat and cold hardy throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 9, this demure perennial only grows about 16 inches in height when in bloom, and with a 15-18 inch spread.

Planting and Application:

Little Business is perfect as a single specimen in your garden border where it will play nicely with its neighbors. It also makes a striking mass planting where it acts like a groundcover with its thick, graceful grass-like foliage. Mix with other Daylilies for an impactful, easy-care look, as a wonderful Xeric landscape plant and is on many fire-scaping lists.

This sweet dwarf looks great in pots, in mixed containers on the porch or patio, in planting tubs, and in container gardens too! It's an awesome choice for window boxes where a full-sized Daylily might overtake the whole planting!

Add color to the mixed shrub borders and perennial beds by using rows, groupings, or en masse plantings to maximize the color of this showy little bloomer! Use them as tidy facer plants that light up your foundation plantings and the leggy bases of an evergreen hedge. Ring mailboxes or flagpoles to draw butterflies and attention everywhere in the sun!

Daylilies are well-known for their cold and heat hardiness, durability in urban conditions, their tolerance of pollution, and streetside plantings! Once established, Daylily planted on slopes has dense roots that hold soil against erosion. Daylilies can survive harsh conditions that other plants cannot including slopes, poor and dry soils, and near pavement that is salted in winter. Use Daylilies in the front of your garden border and along walkways as edging, in Rock Gardens, and in street-side hell strips.

  • Gorgeous Strawberry-Coral-Red Blossoms
  • Fragrant Full Sized Blooms
  • Dwarf Compact Plants - Perfect For Small Gardens
  • Showy Cut Flowers, Nectar Resource For Bees & Butterflies
  • Perfume Garden Beds & Borders, En Masse, Containers & Edging

#ProPlantTips for Care:

This hardy dwarf perennial appreciates being planted in full sun and in well-drained soil. Provide an enriched site with regular moisture, adding a 3-4 inch layer of mulch near the base is a great way to help control the moisture of the soil. It also keeps your garden nice and neat by keeping the weeds to a minimum!

Deadhead the spent flowers, then later select and prune out the flower stems close to the ground on stems where all flowers are finished blooming. This helps encourage reblooming until fall! Prune the foliage back to about two inches in autumn and remove them completely to prevent typical rust and foliar diseases from overwintering. You could also do this in the very early spring. Divide every 3-5 years to keep your clumps stress-free and growing vigorously.

  • Loves Full Sun
  • Cold Hardy & Heat Tolerant
  • Moderate Moisture Needs - Low Once Established
  • Deadhead Regularly, Prune Late Fall & Divide Every 3-5 Years
  • Deer, Rabbits, Salt & Pests Seldom Bother Daylilies

We know that you will love these bright beauties wherever you plant them in your garden! Order more than one Little Business Daylily from Nature Hills Nursery. You'll be glad you did!
