A hardy perennial in zones 8-10, however, colder zones won't miss out - these bulbs can be brought inside or saved for next year!

Planting and Application:

Great as a stand-alone focal point, as a 'thriller' in planters and the garden, and as an amazing backdrop for your summer blooming flowers (or for your hammock)! Anywhere Elephant Ears grow, it's certain to draw attention! Pot up around seating areas for an instant vacation spot in your own backyard, or dress up your pool for the summer! These heart-shaped leaves look great with other large foliage plants like Banana plants and Palm trees!

Warmer growing zones free of frost can enjoy these tropical plants year-round! Plant around water gardens and tropical displays for heat and humidity-resistant focal points. #ProPlantTips for Care:

For the best coloration, grow Colocasia tubers in full sun or partial shade for the most color and plant them in organically rich well-drained soil. Loving rich, moist soil, Elephant Ears can top out at an easy 6-foot tall and fill a large area in a single growing season!

Gardeners in zones 3-7 may overwinter the corms indoors. As soon as the temperatures drop below 40°F, dig the corms up, brush off excess soil and store them in dry peat moss or wood shavings. Place in a warm, dark and dry place with a temperature no higher than 50-60°F. The old leaves die off and can be removed to keep the plant looking neat and tidy.

  • Grow in Full Sun or Partial Shade
  • Tolerates Moist Soil for Water's Edge
  • Well-Drained Soil
  • Prune After Foliage Yellows
  • Cold Zones Can Lift & Overwinter Corm
