Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 3-9
Chameleon Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium 'Chameleon') is a color-changing little wonder! Chameleon's narrow leaves emerge striped green and cream, and form elegant, upright fountains that are compact and space-saving clumps! As summer progresses, the graceful tips become light purple and pinkish in color for a triple treat on this graceful Ornamental Grass!
This warm-season grass may take its sweet time getting going in the spring, but watch out once the weather warms up! Spikey blooms add vertical lines that snow won't flatten and the autumn foliage, which becomes flushed with pink as the temperatures drop, carries long-lasting winter interest!
Chameleon Little Bluestem is deer resistant and attracts birds that like to shelter in grasses and feast on the seeds! Chameleon is a must-have for any sun garden! The columnar growth reaches 3-4 feet in height when in bloom, but only takes up 15-24 inches of space! Wildly adaptable throughout USDA hardiness zones 3 to 9, there's little this plant won't be able to handle in your garden!
Planting and Application:
Ornamental Grass adds texture, motion, sound, and color to the garden, and you'll enjoy all that and more, plus Chameleon's hardy, compact, and symmetrical form! Great for all-sized gardens, and boasting both a formal and an informal appearance! Highlight in groups of three or solo specimen plantings that suit this sunny ornamental! Cottage and Rock gardens, beds, borders, and even containers on hot patios are perfect!
Pretty erosion control, Chameleon's color makes any mass planting and tough site gleam! Rock Gardens and that 'hell strip' along a road or sidewalk are perfect locations for these little plants that more than make up for their size with sheer color! Plant along walkways and paths, either in military straight rows or winding soft allées.
- Compact Tri-Color Ornamental Grass!
