Many people these days appreciate the sultry mystery of dark purple color. But out-of-this-world deep plum-purple is the most challenging color to attain in the Rose breeding world! But Celestial Night™ (Rosa 'WEKebtigrad') Floribunda Rose Bush has done it! Years of effort were worth it for Christian Bedard and his team of plant scientists at Week's Roses.

That bold hue comes at the cost of many dedicated years of breeding and research. In fact, combining disease resistance and vigor with the popular deep purple coloration is almost a supernatural achievement!

Why pay for a single bouquet of purple Roses? Grow your own Celestial Night for armloads of entrancing purple blooms at home. Celestial Night™ Rose will bloom for you beautifully all season long. With blooms held on medium to long stems, you'll be able to enjoy them indoors in cut flower arrangements! Breakthrough Celestial Night™ Floribunda Roses are showy and wide with plenty of buds. You'll love their gorgeous, full floral display and fruity fragrance!

The upright growth is narrow and tall, allowing smaller properties to include these wonderful shrub Roses! The lush fast-growing green foliage is the perfect foil for those enchanting blooms! A marvelous achievement of modern Rose hybridization, the deep plum blooms will inspire you every time you study their old-fashioned form. These are glorious, abundant, very double Roses that are quartered, old-fashioned and cuppy.

Planting and Application:

You really can't go wrong with this top choice in a sunny spot. Use one as a perfect thriller for a balcony container garden. Grow them in your own yard or keep them in containers for patio and balcony décor. Spruce up a front entrance with these in tall gray modern containers for a fragrant welcome!

You'll be thrilled at the flower power! Why not add a bench nearby to sit and study the flushes of pointed buds and unfurled blooms? Create mindful meditation areas where the sultry hue and fragrance help you find mental peace and clarity. Butterflies and beneficial pollinators will appreciate your thoughtfulness! Extended blooming Celestial Night™ belongs in every Butterfly Garden. Plant a few extra to turn any garden into a cut flower garden!

Showy Roses look incredible near evergreens. If you want to jazz up your existing foundation plantings or mature trees, create a mass planting in a mulched bed. Remove a little sod, and add mulch for a new focal point along your front walkway. Bushy Celestial Night™ Roses fill out right to the ground and don't need facer plants.

Create a designer look with a regularly spaced series of matching garden containers along the length of your patio or pool deck. Mix and match with other purple hues, like Ebb Tide™ Rose and Arctic Blue™ Roses for a custom look. Splurge and include a matching Celestial Night™ Rose Tree or mix with an Arctic Blue™ Rose Tree for some grand height!

Create en masse drifts and long rows for high impact as a solo specimen planting or mixed with other Roses of every color. Purple is surprisingly versatile, it's very effective with white, pink and red flowers. Perhaps you are feeling brave enough to take your garden design into orbit with contrasting yellow and orange hues!

Space them three to four feet apart, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. You'll not only create a vivid living wall for screening and privacy, but a thorny defensive barrier that few will desire to tangle with let alone try to cross.

  • Dark Purple Petals are Plum Purple Reversed in Raspberry
  • Old-Fashioned Floribunda Blooms are Cupped, Quartered & Very Double
  • Vigorous Rose Bush & Fragrant
  • Continual Blooming All Season from Late Spring to Frost

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Floribunda Rose bushes need proper air circulation is important for a healthy landscape Roses, please give each bush room to shine! Site selection is actually the most important part of planting Roses. They need full sun, well-drained soil, good airflow, and regular food and water to develop the richest purple coloration and the most blooms. Look for a spot that receives at least six or more hours of sun a day. Consider pruning trees to give you more sun to play with!

Please supply a regular schedule of water. Soaker hoses are a great way to keep the glossy, dark green foliage dry. Mulch over the root zone brings many benefits and makes your garden look picture-perfect. However, you need to pull it back away from directly touching the canes. Feed a special Rose fertilizer according to the label directions. Repeat blooming Roses are hungry, and require multiple applications through the growing season.

In early spring, prune the Rose canes down to 6 - 8 inches. Cut at a 45-degree angle just above a nice, fat bud...and wear thick gloves! Read all you need about Rose pruning Roses Here, and about winterizing your Roses Here and un-wintering Roses in Spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
