Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Upright spires of white! The Butterfly Candy™ Lil' Coconut™ Butterfly Bush (Buddleia davidii 'BotEx 003') brings the biodiversity of winged visitors to your landscape with its sweet scent and lovely creamy white hues! Held aloft in upright fluffy tapering panicles, this white-flowering Buddleia adds space-saving drama to the garden!
The new Butterfly Candy™ line of Buddleia is wonderfully dense and stays just 2-3 feet in height and width but is packed full of compact, lighter green foliage. Each branch ends in a vertically pointed cluster of tiny scented blooms that are held up like beacons for all the butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds!
Lil' Coconut™ is hardy throughout chilly USDA growing zones 5 to steamy zone 10! The floriferous blooms keep returning for your pollinators and cut flower arrangements so long as you keep deadheading spent blooms. Woody perennials in cooler climates, and deciduous shrubs in warmer ones, Butterfly Bushes usually are slow to start in colder zones, but grow fast once temps are just right! They can grow sooner in warmer zones where they can start to bloom in late spring. Once growing, all Butterfly Bushes bloom through summer, and continue into fall!
Planting and Application:
Butterfly Candy™ Butterfly Bushes are must-have treats for the Pollinator Garden! Full of vital nectar resources for all your winged visitors! The flowers look lovely in cut flower arrangements too! Plant among other perennials or flowering shrubs and turn any cottage garden, Rock garden, or perennial border into a pollinator garden!
Wonderful accents in any part of the sunny landscape, the creamy white spires of blooms seem to meld with all color plants and all garden styles! Small and compact enough for Container gardeners and porch planters, while being easy-care enough to create Mass plantings and fill your landscape with hardy, versatile, white blooms!
Set out a birdbath, a bee watering station, and a garden bench, and enjoy front-row seats as the winged visitors arrive in droves! Kids love watching Lil' Coconut™ attract tons of wildlife, so set up a blanket nearby for them to explore their world! Get them a book on butterfly identification and a pair of binoculars or a camera!

#ProPlantTips For Care
Buddleia Butterfly Bushes bloom best and have the strongest stems in full sun, so provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Plant in almost any kind of well-drained, enriched soil with a 3-4 inch layer of mulch as topdressing. Then in the early spring before you see new growth, prune back your entire bush. This plant is like a woody perennial in colder zones it will die back, and should cut stems down in late winter or early spring before it starts to grow and all fresh new growth will develop from the roots. Deadhead to keep new blooms returning all growing season. Butterfly Bushes are rarely damaged by deer unless truly desperate!
- Full Sun Is Best
- Moderate to Lower, Yet Consistent Soil Moisture
- Enriched, Very Well-Drained Soil & Appreciates Mulched Beds
- Deadhead Often For Rebloom
- Prune Back in Early Spring
- Deer Seldom Bother It
