Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Whether you want to expand your collection of Japanese Maples, or only have room for a single tree...this is a choice to feel proud of. Delight in the lyrical, horizontal branching and delicate foliage.
Burgundy Lace Japanese Maple tells a garden story wherever you use it. Grow them in the ground, or keep them in oversized outdoor containers on your balcony or deck. Commemorate a loved one, or celebrate one of life's big milestones. Or, gift yourself simply because you fell in love with their fantastic looks.
In spring, seven-lobed leaves unfurl a burgundy-purple. The sophisticated color delivers an impeccable contrast to their ethereal shape.
Burgundy Lace is a small tree to study for hours through summertime. As the heat comes on, you'll see the newest leaves develop a bronze overcast for additional interest.
But it is perhaps the fall color that makes the most visual impact. Once lights grow cooler, the foliage warms up to a vivid scarlet red. This color splash rivals other fall color plants! Consider making this tree the star of your autumn display.

How to Use Burgundy Lace Japanese Maple in the Landscape
Use a single tree as an ornamental backdrop for an outdoor seating area. Consider it a wall of a garden room, and you'll find a perfect spot for it.
Don't forget that this tree has been sculpted by Bonsai enthusiasts. Remember that you can strategically prune the canopy higher for a fanciful specimen.
Perhaps you would prefer to allow branches to fill in further down the trunk. With a bushier plant, you'll gain a lush privacy screen all season long.
Make them work to decorate the unique contours of your allotted space. Decorate the side of your front door with one pruned for a custom fit.
Add several to create a traffic-stopping accent on a berm planting for a beautifully Japanese-style flair. Partner with boulders and create your own "mountains" in the front yard.
Let their evocative reflection spotlight a water feature, as well. Plant an informal grouping at the water's edge to amplify your landscape investment with such ease.
You can also choose to grow them in containers for your patio. Provide a sheltered spot for best results. Our tree experts take such good care of these charming small trees. That's why we work with professional garden designers across the country. Feel confident that your selection can be used front and center in your landscape design. Anchor your patio planting, or use at the corner of your home with pride.
#ProPlantTips for Care
Japanese Maples do best with the morning sun and protection from the hot afternoon sun. This is especially true in the warmer climates.
Mulch over the root system to keep them cool and moist. However, you need to pull the mulch away from directly touching the trunk.
Burgundy Lace loves consistent supplemental water on a regular basis. Aim to keep the soil evenly moist, but ensure there is good drainage.
It can't live in standing water, so there is a fine line to maintain. Elevate the tree in a raised bed, if you have soggy soil that has puddles that remain for long periods of time.
Prune to shape in winter while your tree is dormant. Please plan your pruning cuts carefully and take your time.
