No bugs here! The Buggy Gladiolus (Gladiolus x hortulanus 'Buggy') is anything besides what its name implies! Buggy is a cheerful heavily ruffled bloom of pure white splashed in bold yellow! The huge blooms are so ruffly, and large, that they look double-petalled!

Appearing on tall wands that bloom from the bottom up, providing you and your pollinators a long flowering season throughout the summer! Backed by space-saving clumps of sword-like vertical green foliage, both flowers and foliage look fantastic in vase bouquets and floral arrangements!

Grown from corms, Gladioli can grow in all growing zones as seasonal annuals like Canna Lily and Dahlias! Gardeners in USDA zones 8 to 10 can keep these spring-planted bulbs in the ground year-round so they can grow and spread politely into small groupings.

Landscape Application:

Sometimes known as Gladiola, Hybrid Gladiolus are gorgeous show-stoppers to use as focal point groupings, dramatic backdrops, and glowing rows throughout your sun gardens! The only insects Buggy will be attracting are Butterflies, and bees that love these flouncy blossoms but deer won't come by for a nibble!

Any garden becomes a cut flower garden with a few Buggy Glads, and everyone will love the tall, cheerful vase arrangements you make with a few of these incredible, long-lasting blooms! Flowering from the bottom up, the spikes can bloom for two weeks!

Great vertical texture in large mixed-planters, porch, and patio pots, or planted as specimen groupings in tall, high-style containers, the compliments will roll in when you place one on either side of your sunny front door!

  • Heavily Ruffled Creamy Pale Yellow & White Petals
  • Tall Wands Bloom From The Bottom Up
  • Vertical Green Foliage Mounds
  • Pollinator-Friendly Blooms For Weeks
  • Gorgeous Rows, Groupings, Backdrops & Summer Accents

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Gladiolus, sometimes spelled Gladiola and Gladioli plural, flowers best in full sun in cooler growing zones but appreciates afternoon shade in hot climates. Growing as seasonal annuals in all growing zones but are hardy perennials you can leave in the ground in USDA planting zones 8 to 10. Any well-drained soil environment works great and these corms grow best when their soil isn't soggy and highly organic. These bulbs do appreciate moderate yet regular moisture access.

Plant these corms, which are round, squat little bulb-like structures, in the spring. Plant them about 6-8 inches deep. Groupings and rows have the biggest effect and impact on your garden, so plant your corms pointy side up about 5-6 inches apart.

Stake your flower wands if you've not planted your Glads in a location protected from the wind. Deadhead the flowering spire as soon as the last flower fades but keep the greenery to make food for the bulb until they turn yellow. In zones 1 through 7, lift your corms up and store them for the winter in a cool, dry location. Each year you'll notice more and more little corms forming around the base of the parent corm for more blooms each year!

  • Full Sun & Afternoon Shade In Hot Climates
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Organic Well-Drained Soil
  • Deadhead After Blooms Fade & Prune or Dig in Fall
  • Deer & Rabbit Resistant

Like a burst of warm summer sunshine, the Buggy Gladiolus is a fantastic summer accent and container thriller! Order quality bulbs and corms today from NatureHills.com and we'll ship your bulbs to your growing zone at the proper planting time for you!
