Adaptable to salt, drought and wet winter soil, these are cold hardy, deer and rabbit-resistant plus, highly pest and disease-free! Miscanthus requires well-drained soil but becomes highly drought-tolerant once established. Easy-to-grow, Maiden Grass is cold hardy in USDA hardiness zones 5 through 10.
Warm-season grasses won't grow until the soil temperature warms so have patience. Prune each year cutting all foliage to just a few inches before growth starts to appear in early spring and remove built-up leaves and debris from the center. The plumes are not fertile so reseeding isn't an issue with Scout™.

Shipping was fast and the plants arrived beyond my expectations, healthy, vigorous, and Beautiful. I was surprised at how quickly they had taken route. I live in zone 8A and it’s been a hot July and August and they are thriving I will most certainly do business with this company in the future.

If you're lucky and have full sun, this grass can easily reach 5 feet high and 5 feet wide in just a few years. This is basically "gracillimus," but in a more silvery-green color. I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 until mine gets mature in a few years.
