Get your sunglasses ready! The Sunny Seduction™ Yarrow (Achillea millefolium 'Sunny Seduction') is part of the Seduction™ series of Yarrows. This line is best known for sturdy stems, compact growth, long bloom periods, and interesting flowers. They also attract many butterflies!

In the spring, the easy-to-care-for Sunny Seduction™ grows quickly into clumps of fern-like, green leafy mounds. When Summer temperatures kick in, this Yarrow produces large, sunny yellow flower heads, reaching up to 30 inches in height, that will really stand out in your garden! It is a prolific bloomer from June through August.

Snip a few stems for unique floral bouquet additions, and use some of the larger greenery as lacy filler! Drying the flowers of Yarrow is also an option! Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 8, Sunny Seduction™ thrives in sun, heat, and humidity without fail! This selection of the native bloom keeps those easy-going qualities for your landscape!

Planting and Application:

Any cut flower and pollinator garden needs one of these vivid little summer-to-fall flowering ornamentals! Enliven a front yard garden or Cottage border with bright blooms and fill your mixed Perennial gardens with fresh color! Yellow always brings cheer and joy to your landscape!

The Achillea varieties are a great choice for mass planting and are drought-tolerant as well. Plant this brilliant sunspot in your Rock Gardens and Xeric plantings. Update a prairie or native wildflower garden with these hardy little perennials! Even that tricky strip along the road, the sidewalk, or along your driveway works great for these hardy little plants!

Mix and match with other Yarrow and enjoy ferny aromatic foliage and brilliant flat-topped blossoms all summer long! Sometimes until the first frost! Not only will your local butterflies and pollinators adore these blooms, but pollen-eating bees and beneficial insects will also appreciate these versatile flowering powerhouses!

Most Yarrows won't burn in the event of a fire, making Sunny Seduction™ a definite must-have for defensible space planting in any firewise landscape. Use in large or small groupings, or go big and brighten large swaths of landscape with low-maintenance yellow flowers! The color is bright enough to still show off as a singular specimen or focal point in the garden or in planters and mixed containers around your front porch or patio!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Yarrow is a hardy herbaceous perennial and should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. Yarrow can tolerate poor soil conditions but does best in lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. They can be adaptable to almost any soil with adequate drainage. New plants should be watered regularly and not allowed to dry out completely.

Deep waterings are better than frequent surface waterings, encouraging the roots to delve deep into the ground for moisture, and making them more resilient in the long run. Top-dress with a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist mulch to not only make them look better but also hold moisture and insulate the roots best. Once established, allow your Yarrow to dry between waterings for best success because they despise soggy soil.

It's recommended to remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide the mounds every 3-4 years. Deadheading enhances their overall appearance and encourages the plants to rebloom. In spring, before you see new growth, trim away any of last year's stems to clean up the crown. Top off with a fresh layer of mulch or compost!
