The incredible Carnival™ series of Coral Bells, introducing the Fall Festival Coral Bells (Heuchera x 'Fall Festival') ruffled and colorful foliage with dainty airy blooms, are fantastic mounding perennials with vigorous growth! The pleated and fall-colored leaves have caramel tones with pink and rose foliage and are accented by a silvery overlay for a unique display all growing season!

The small blooms that the Fall Festival Coral Bells displays in the early summer will attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Tiny creamy white, bell-shaped flowers are lifted above the foliage on wispy stems like fairy bells! These graceful flowers last all summer through fall, and look great in a bouquet, however, Coral Bells are not known for their flowers, but for their foliage!

Also known as Alumroot, Heuchera holds its color throughout the summer heat and humidity, right until frost as long as it is in the shade. Fall Festival Coral Bells are heat resistant and thrive throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9 and can grow into a mounded ball 10-12 inches tall when in bloom and spread 12-15 inches wide. Sometimes Coral Bells can remain evergreen throughout mild winters!

Planting and Application:

A standout plant like this, with 3 - 4 seasons of color, deserves the spotlight! Rightfully deserving a specimen plant location, these have a depth of color perfect as a backdrop plant as well! Particularly showy when planted among the vibrant colors of other Coral Bells! Try creating a focal point planting in your garden by clustering these in a grouping of 3 or more for a stand-out accent!

Fall Festival Coral Bells are fantastic when used as shade garden color and as a groundcover, in Rock Gardens, and as a border plant! Their mounded, low-growing form is ideal as facer shrubs and edging along paths and walkways. Line shady walkways and driveways for a dramatic row of color.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Coral Bells need regular watering, especially in the southern climates and during summer. Adaptable to occasionally wet conditions, they're best in moderately moist, very well-drained soils. Plant Coral Bells in cooler growing zones thrive in more sun and a bit less moisture. They can tolerate some morning sun and partial shade, but in hotter climates need to plant these in full shade to prevent leaf burn. Withstanding heat and humidity, pest resistant, typically ignored by Deer and rabbits, as well as disease free, not much can phase this plant! Preferring rich soils that have a good amount of organic matter, fertilize in early spring when new growth begins to emerge.

Low-maintenance, just shear back or pick off dead/winter-damaged foliage in the early spring for a clean winter look. If desired, divide clumps in fall to prevent overcrowding. Mulch provides insulation from heat and chill and holds moisture in the soil more consistently. For the best growth, it's recommended to divide the clumps every few years, in the spring.

  • Morning Sun, Part Shade, or Full Shade (Cool Zones)
  • Herbaceous Perennials Needs Moisture & Well-Drained Soil
  • Prune Mounds In Late Fall
  • Semi-Evergreen in Warm Climates
  • Heat & Humidity Tolerant

The gorgeous Carnival™ Fall Festival Coral Bells brings color to the shade garden and requires so little maintenance in return! Order yours today at Nature Hills Nursery!
