Great tree

Fast shipping. Perfectly healthy and packaged. A little over 6 feet tall. Looking forward to see it grow.

A 6-foot weeping cherry right out of the gate is a great start. Get it settled in this season and it will reward you with those long, sweeping branches covered in blooms before you know it. Thanks for sharing the update, Matthew.

Horrible customer service

I’ve contacted them twice about how my tree was received and i haven’t heard anything back. The roots were sticking out and the tree doesn’t even stand up in the pot . Will not buy a plant from them again. Very dissatisfied with the purchase

Plant was ideal on delivery.

We have had a lot of rain. The leaves are curled. So I added sand and potting soil. Hope this helps

Hi Victoria,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our White SNOW FOUNTAINS® Weeping Cherry Tree. We're glad to hear that the plant arrived in ideal condition upon delivery.

We're sorry to hear that the leaves are currently curled. As you mentioned, adding sand and potting soil can definitely help with drainage and root health. Another tip we recommend is to make sure the tree is getting enough sunlight and to avoid overwatering. We hope this helps and that your tree flourishes in your garden.

Happy gardening!

Best,

Beautiful tree but had a few broken branches on arrival. Hoping it does well. So far it seems to be doing fine. I’m expecting to see it thrive into a much larger, fuller tree.

Thank you, Karen! We are so glad to hear the Snow Fountain Weeping Cherry is settling in well despite the few broken branches it arrived with, and we are sorry about that rough start. Delivered as promised

ordering, shipping and package was great. It has only been a few weeks, so far seems to be all systems go.

Weeping cherries do tend to settle in well when the roots arrive in good shape, so it sounds like you are off to a solid start, Ron. Keep an eye on soil moisture through the first season since consistent watering really helps them establish. Thanks for sharing the early update, and we hope it puts on a great show for you come spring.

Its prefect!

I was afraid it would be damaged by the mail order. Its all good, in the ground growing very well.

Shipping concerns are totally understandable with bare-root or containerized trees, so it's good to hear yours arrived in solid shape and is already settling in. Weeping cherries tend to push new growth quickly once their roots find good soil. Enjoy the show when it blooms. Thanks for sharing the update, Sherrie!

Our tree arrived in great shape

Our tree arrived in great shape, only a few days after we placed our order. Looked to be in good health. planted well. Can't wait to see what it looks like in a few years.

A weeping cherry establishing well from the start is a great sign, Connie. Snow Fountain puts on a really beautiful show once it matures, with the cascading branches filling out more each spring. A little patience goes a long way with this one, and it sounds like yours is off to a solid start. Thanks for sharing the update.

I bought this tree as a memorial to my Mom

I bought this tree as a memorial to my Mom. It has been very windy and chilly here so I am hoping it survives.

What a meaningful way to honor your Mom. Weeping cherries are resilient once they settle in, and a little wind stress early on is normal as the roots establish. If you can stake it loosely for the first season to keep the root ball from rocking, that will give it the best start. We hope it rewards you with many beautiful springs to come.

The tree was traveling for

The tree was traveling for a full 6 days so was very stressed when it arrived. It lost some leaves but with a little care, it has recovered nicely. It was packaged well and arrived fully intact with no broken limbs. The shape is lovely. The size is good and I'm excited to see it's first blooms. I think it will be a great addition to our community.

Sure to be a showstopper Spring and Fall

I ordered the White Snow Fountain Weeping Cherry in a 4" x 4" x 6" pot last spring, potted it up, mulched it well and kept it on the patio (Zone 7a). It overwintered in the pot outside and bloomed this spring. It now stands nearly 3' tall and has several branches -- one over a foot long and already weeping. It's going into the ground this fall, as the centerpiece of our entrance garden.

Frequently Asked Questions

How big do weeping cherry trees get?

  • Snow Fountain weeping cherry trees reach 8-15 feet tall with a 6-12 foot spread, making them much more compact than standard cherries that can hit 40 feet. This dwarf variety thrives in USDA zones 5-8 and works well in small yards or large containers. Plant in full sun for best blooming.

Are there white cherry blossom trees?

  • Yes, white cherry blossom trees exist and bloom beautifully in early spring. The Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry produces cascading white blossoms in March-April, staying compact at 8-15 feet tall. It thrives in zones 5-8 with full sun and well-drained soil, available at naturehills.com.

How much sunlight does it need?

  • Snow Fountain weeping cherry requires full sun, meaning at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. This sunlight exposure is essential for heavy blooming and vibrant fall color. Plant it in your sunniest spot for best results.

What USDA hardiness zones is the Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry Tree suitable for?

  • The Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry Tree thrives in USDA hardiness zones 5 through 8. This makes it suitable for most temperate regions across the United States. Plant it in full sun with well-drained soil for best results.

What type of soil does this tree prefer and what is the ideal pH range?

  • Snow Fountain Weeping Cherry thrives in well-drained loam with a pH between 6.0-7.0. This adaptable tree tolerates various soil types but performs best when drainage prevents waterlogged roots. Test your soil pH and amend with compost if needed before planting your tree from naturehills.com.

How often should I water my newly planted Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry?

  • Water newly planted Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry deeply 2-3 times per week for the first growing season. Since it prefers well-drained loam, check soil moisture 2 inches down before watering. Reduce frequency once established in zones 5-8.

Is this weeping cherry tree deer resistant?

  • The Snow Fountain weeping cherry is moderately deer resistant, making it more durable than many ornamental trees. While deer may occasionally browse it, they typically prefer other plants first. Plant it in areas where deer pressure is light to moderate for best results.

What plants pair well with the Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry as companions?

  • Snow Fountain® pairs beautifully with spring bulbs like daffodils and tulips that bloom alongside its March-April flowers. Low-growing perennials such as hostas, astilbe, and Japanese painted ferns complement its 6-12 foot spread without competing. Plant companions that thrive in zones 5-8 with similar sun requirements for best results.

Does the Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry require regular pruning or special maintenance?

  • Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry requires minimal pruning due to its naturally compact 8-15 foot size. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches in late spring after flowering ends. The weeping habit maintains itself, so focus on basic structural pruning rather than heavy shaping.
