The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 3 - 7
Need an easy-care fragrant Rose that won't come with all the fuss? Then you need the Smooth Wild Rose bush (Rosa blanda) is a native shrub with a dense, spreading easy-to-grow nature! Filled with sweet pink blooms that carry a light Rose scent!
Earning its name from its nearly thornless new growth, keeping most of its daggers at the base of the plant and older canes, the Smooth Wild Rose means ouch-free bouquets and cut flowers!
Pollinators and bees flock to these blossoms that are like big landing pads! The deep green foliage is accented by an autumn harvest of bright red Rose Hips! The canes grow dense enough to provide wonderful cover and nesting habitat for backyard birds!
Planting and Application:
Use these flowering shrubs as formidable shrubs as pretty backdrops, flowering hedges, privacy and screening, and bird-friendly shelterbelts that few will dare cross! Create rows or groupings as barrier plantings and a lovely property division that provides a spring, summer, and fall color show!
Wild Roses look fantastic in native plantings and en masse for low-maintenance erosion control on hillsides and slopes. Use along sunny prairie plantings and as backdrops to mixed shrub borders or to encircle your Rose garden, Cottage garden or pollinator beds in carefree blooms!
The showy rosehips appear on your shrub, these are great winter interest, and are high in Vitamin C. Many dry the hips for Tea or make them into jam or jelly! Vital winter food for birds that stick around instead of migrating, the red hips are also great cut flower additions and winter décor.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Smooth Wild Roses are hardy in USDA growing zones 4 through 8 and are incredibly cold hardy! Rose Bushes normally need to be pampered and planted in optimal conditions, but the Wild Rose is a different breed of easy care and adaptable native plant! Provide full sun and moderate moisture while establishing and a well-drained location in your landscape. Choose a location with enriched soil and morning sun to dry the leaves of dew.
Prune only in early spring and remove old canes to renew the growth, or right after flowering - but you'll lose out on those showy rosehips. Provide a mulched bed to keep the foliage cleaner and the roots insulated and hold soil moisture more consistently. Check out more on winterizing Roses and getting them ready for the spring growing season.
