This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

If you love butterflies in the garden then you are bound to be familiar with Butterfly Bushes. These pollinator magnets are butterfly garden staples! Unfortunately, these beauties are often so big that they are impractical for smaller, urban gardens. They can easily reach 6 feet tall and just as wide before the summer is done.
Thankfully Proven Winners® has developed a new line of Buddleia that are the perfect space-savers. Pugster® Butterfly Bushes only get a couple of feet tall and wide - just right for borders, beds, and containers. They'll fit anywhere there is full sun! Pugster Pink® Butterfly Bush (Buddleia x 'SMNBDPT') is a happy, taffy-pink bloom that will draw your attention from all over the garden!
And do you want to know the best thing? Even though the plants are dwarf, the flowers are not! These little beauties are covered with full-sized panicles of honey-scented soft pink blooms all summer and into the fall just like the bigger cousins are! Don't let the soft color fool you either! This is one tough plant that handles even the coldest zone 5 winter without a problem.
Planting and Application:
Any small-space urban garden or courtyard in the sun will benefit from these showy blooms! Pugster Pink® are perfect container garden shrubs, and the bountiful fluffy flowers will be brimming over the container edges and bloom until fall! Perfume and enhance your garden seating areas, porches, and patios with these cheerful pointed spires!
Beautiful as a specimen in the Cottage Garden, these lovely blooms look are must-haves in the Pollinator garden! But these easy-natured blooming shrubs are just as beautiful en masse and in rows throughout your landscape! Create vivid backdrops and low-growing edging borders to tie your entire yard together!
Go ahead and cut armloads of flowers for bouquets, Pugster Pink® will just make more! The stems are strong and thick and perfect for cutting. You'll still have plenty left to please the butterflies, Hummingbirds, and bees that are sure to come visit.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Butterfly Bushes are wonderfully easy to grow! All they ask for is full sun and steady water during their first year! Once established, Buddleia are low-water usage but do appreciate supplemental moisture during drought and the summer months to keep the flowers returning until frost. Provide a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist mulch to support your shrub's root system. Like most butterfly favorites, this deciduous plant is drought tolerant and not on any deer's menu of favorite snacks.
Like all Proven Winners® Buddleias, there is no deadheading required to keep them blooming all season for you! You will want to cut these plants back to the ground in early spring when grown in colder climates because these act more like an herbaceous perennial. For plants grown in warm growing zones, these are woody shrubs that only need an early spring trim will help ensure the best performance and best flowers.
- Full Sun Shrub/Perennial
- Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate Moisture & Fertility
- Prune Early Spring
- No Deadheading Required
