Flowering the best in full sun, Hardy Hibiscus are drought tolerant once established, but supplemental watering increases flowering. Any well-drained soil will due but a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch that holds in moisture and insulates the root system. Deadhead after the flowers fade, and cut the stems back to the ground each early spring. Deer resistant, heat and cold hardy, few plants bloom in the late season without fading like these fantastic perennial plants!
