Gorgeous! Caiuldnt be happier with my purchase - Very healthy and substantial size!

Gorgeous!

Bigleaf hydrangeas like Eclipse can really make a statement in the garden, and it sounds like this one arrived ready to hit the ground running. If you want big, bold blooms, keep the soil consistently moist and give it some afternoon shade in hotter climates. Thanks for sharing, Mary, we hope it puts on a great show for you this season.

2 Panicle Hydrangrea Shipped - Only 1 Survived

Nature Hills Nursery shipped 2 Tidbit Panicle Hydrangeas to my home in the same container. One arrived in good condition and the other was essentially dead. I have planted the good Hydrangea, and it seems to be doing well in my garden. I recommend different packaging when shipping 2 plants together. Both plants should have their base pot on the same side of the container with verbiage on the box stating, "This Side Up". The 1 that did not make it was planted with the base pot facing the opposite direction of the other plant. When the box got turned "upside down" in relation to the Hydrangea that arrived in good condition, some of the moist soil in the "bad" plant apparently fell out.

Love, love, love these Summer Crush Bigleaf Hydrangeas!

I received 2 of the #2 pots. Love, love, love these Summer Crush Bigleaf Hydrangeas! So well packaged and so healthy!

Summer Crush is such a reliable performer, and it's great to hear yours arrived in good shape and ready to get established. These do best when you keep the soil consistently moist through their first season, so they can put energy into rooting rather than just surviving. Thanks for sharing, Irish2OH. We hope they reward you with plenty of those deep raspberry blooms.

Communication was terrible, the hydrangea was in terrible shape upon arrival

First of all, the communication with this company has to be the worse I've ever experienced, it took almost 3 months before I got the oakleaf hydrangea( I emailed this company several times regarding the shipping info with no response) not to mention that I ordered a red slipper but got a alice white hydrangea (they charged me for a red slipper tho)
Upon arrival, this plant was in terrible shape, broken new growth, torn leaves and not enough soil around its roots, the box it came in looked like it had been kicked around. Now that the hydrangea has been planted and being cared for it looks much better.
Unfortunately!!!
I won't be ordering from this company ever again

Terrible quality Azure Skies Hydrangeas

Terrible quality Azure Skies Hydrangeas. I ordered #3 pots and they took 3 smaller plants, bundled them together and shoved them into a #3. When you plant them the root systems are not even established so they literally fall apart. As you can see from the photos they are terrible quality. Avoid avoid avoid and go support your local nursery instead.

ZERO Customer Service

I ordered two of these plants. I received one, dying little plant. Emails have gone unanswered. If you call, you get their voicemail and no one will call you back. The website says “use our live chat”, but that does not exist. I got scammed by this company.

So far so good

Arrived in great condition! Did go through a small
Shock and lost a leaf or two but bounced right back. Doing good!

Shipping stress can shake a hydrangea for a bit, so it's good to hear Ruby Snow settled in and started pushing forward. Panicle hydrangeas tend to be pretty resilient once their roots get established. Thanks for the update, Diana, and enjoy the blooms this season!

Disappointed in this one

Disappointed in this one. It looked less than healthy when received, dead leaves in the box and some were deformed and spotty. As a new gardener I thought it was just in shock from travel and planted right away. Watered often and kept removing the damaged leaves. Today I noticed fine webs on the underside, suspect spider mites. Removed bad leaves again and washed the plant. Hoping it survives. Bought 3 different shrubs, this was the largest and most costly unfortunately. Satisfied with my other plants

I Loved these!

I Loved these! I had a pink Victorian home so wanted the White Annabelle Hydrangeas. - After a couple years they were so full and beautiful year after year. They recommended the Root booster for about $15 and added that as well. You will not regret buying these. Beautiful year after year!

White Annabelle against a pink Victorian house sounds like a great pairing. It's really satisfying to hear they've filled in well and come back strong year after year, which is exactly what this variety does when it gets established. The root booster is a solid addition at planting time, and it sounds like it paid off for you. Thanks for sharing the recommendation, Brenda. The Nature Hills Team

Arrived in great condition and seem very happy in the ground

Arrived in great condition and seem very happy in the ground. Two weeks in and doing great.

Climbing hydrangea can take a little time to settle in after planting, so it's great to hear yours hit the ground running. Give it consistent moisture through the first season and it will reward you with strong new growth. Thanks for the update, David.

Worst experience ever

Plant arrived dead. I’ve reached out multiple ways email, chat support, social media(they deleted my comment) it’s been over a week now so might as well just take this as a loss and never order from this company ever again. Google the reviews. Search Facebook. Plenty of negative reviews saying this is a scam. I should have done more research on this company.

Shes Beautiful!

Very first time planting this flower, coming from Houston Texas. I was a little nervous since these plants require a lot of care and water but she has been doing so well!!! I water her twice. Early morning before work (6am) and after sun down (after 7pm). I placed some mulch on the pot so that has been helpful at keeping the soil moist. I was really afraid of drowning her or giving too much water mostly in the early afternoon where the sun was starting to burn through leaves due to me giving it water at 5pm. Shes blossoming beautifully and cannot wait until shes fully open. I also recently purchased her back at the beginning/mid May. Very fast shipping too!

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our Endless Summer Bigleaf Hydrangea. We're so happy to hear that it's doing well in your care and that you're taking such good care of her. It sounds like you have a great watering routine in place and the mulch is definitely a helpful addition. We hope you continue to enjoy watching her blossom and thank you for choosing our product. Happy gardening!

Best online retailer for hydrangeas

I ordered several Sky View Hydraneas from multiple online sources. Nature Hills’ was by far the healthiest. It had the most foliage and little buds that are maturing now about a month later. Hydrangeas from other nurseries arrived with huge flowers, but less “plant” if you will. They all really struggled after planting, dropping and flowers withering. Nature Hills’ didn’t, despite watering all the same way. Very happy with their plant!

Shipping a hydrangea in bud rather than full bloom is exactly the tradeoff we aim for. A plant with strong roots and solid foliage establishment tends to settle in and keep going, while one that arrives in peak flower has already spent a lot of its energy. It sounds like the Sky View is doing just that for you. Thanks for running the comparison and sharing what you found.

Quick Fire® Panicle Hydrangea

Beautiful healthy shrub! Looking forward to seeing it grow throughout the seasons.

Panicle hydrangeas like Quick Fire are such a pleasure to watch through the seasons, starting white and deepening to rich pinks and reds as summer winds down. Give it a good drink during dry spells this first year while the roots settle in, and it should reward you for many years to come. Thanks for sharing, Jackie!

Strong

Strong looking

A hydrangea that arrives looking strong and healthy is exactly what you want to see. Blushing Bride is a tough, reliable bloomer once it gets established, so it sounds like yours is off to a great start. Thanks for sharing, Lisa.

Planted and doing great!

Planted and doing great! It was nice getting a plant with blooms on it!

Getting a hydrangea with blooms already on it makes such a difference when you're putting it in the ground. Summer Crush is a reliable rebloomer, so once it settles in you should see more flushes of color throughout the season. Thanks for sharing, Karen!

Beautiful great quality

Beautiful great quality ..

Annabelle is such a reliable performer, and it's great to hear she arrived in good shape. If you want to encourage even fuller blooms next season, a light application of slow-release fertilizer in early spring goes a long way with hydrangeas. Thanks for sharing, Sabina -- happy growing from the Nature Hills team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What USDA hardiness zones is Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea suitable for?

  • INCREDIBALL STORM PROOF thrives in USDA zones 3-8, flowering reliably even where harsh winters kill stems to the ground. Since it blooms on new wood, cold damage doesn't affect flowering. Choose this over big-leaf hydrangeas in northern zones 3-5 for guaranteed blooms.

What is the mature height and width of Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea?

  • INCREDIBALL STORM PROOF reaches a mature size of 4-5 feet tall and wide, maintaining a naturally rounded, compact form. This manageable size makes it perfect for foundation plantings without blocking windows or fitting into mixed borders. Shop at Nature Hills for this tidy hydrangea that delivers big blooms without taking over your garden.

Does Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea really hold up in heavy rain and storms without flopping?

  • Yes, the thicker, sturdier stems on Incrediball Storm Proof keep those massive 12-inch flower heads upright through summer thunderstorms. This addresses the main weakness of large-flowered hydrangeas whose heavy blooms typically collapse under their own weight or buckle in rain. Plant it where you want reliable vertical structure from June through September.

What are the planting instructions for Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea, including soil type and pH?

  • Plant in well-draining soil with morning sun and afternoon shade for best performance. This adaptable hydrangea tolerates pH from 5.0-7.5 and thrives in zones 3-8. Space plants 4-5 feet apart to accommodate mature size. Water deeply at planting and mulch around the base.

How much sun does Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea need—full sun, part sun, or shade?

  • Incrediball Storm Proof thrives in part sun to light shade, needing 4-6 hours of morning sun daily. Too much afternoon sun can stress the plant and fade the white blooms. Plant it where it gets morning light but afternoon protection for best performance.

How often should I water Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea, especially when newly planted?

  • Water newly planted Incrediball Storm Proof™ daily for the first 2-3 weeks, then 2-3 times weekly through the first growing season. Once established, this hydrangea tolerates some drought but performs best with consistent moisture during its June-September bloom period.

Do I need to prune Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea, and when is the best time?

  • Pruning is optional since INCREDIBALL STORM PROOF maintains its naturally rounded 4-5 ft form with minimal shaping needed. Since it blooms on new wood, you can prune anytime from late fall through early spring without affecting flowers. For best results, prune in late winter before new growth begins.

What fertilizer is best for Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea?

  • A balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer applied in early spring works well for smooth hydrangeas like Incrediball Storm Proof. Since it blooms on new wood from June through September, feed once when new growth emerges. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers that promote weak, floppy growth.

Is Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea deer or rabbit resistant?

  • Smooth hydrangeas like Incrediball Storm Proof are generally not deer or rabbit resistant, as these animals often browse the tender stems and foliage. However, the plant's vigorous spring growth from zone 3-9 means it can recover quickly from browsing damage. Consider protective fencing or deer repellent if wildlife pressure is heavy in your area.

Can Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea be grown in containers or pots?

  • Yes, INCREDIBALL STORM PROOF can be grown successfully in large containers on patios. Its compact 4-5 ft size and sturdy stems make it well-suited for container growing. Use a substantial pot and ensure consistent watering during the growing season.
