Arrived in excellent condition

Arrived in excellent condition. Just over 6 feet tall, very symmetrical branch structure, zero signs of previous problems, healthy root flare, actively and eagerly growing.

I lived in Austin Texas for a decade and grew several American, Mexican, and hybrid offspring from seedlings in mulch beds. Moved back to my hometown in the Nashville area and I have tons of space to plant trees. Very excited to work with more plane trees and having grown their cousins myself I can say these were grown properly and would be something I buy in person. I expected a half stressed, sparsely leafed tree.

Should grow 6 feet easily this year with a bit of root stimulant and light fertilizer.

Thank you to nature hills for selling these. Surprisingly difficult to source plane trees you can plant yourself in Tennessee.

A healthy root flare and symmetrical branching on arrival are exactly what you want to see, and it sounds like this one hit every mark. Your background growing sycamores and planetrees from seedlings in Austin gives you a sharp eye, so that endorsement means a lot. The Exclamation London Planetree is a strong grower once it settles in, and with the root stimulant and light fertilizer approach you described, 6 feet of new growth in a season is very realistic. Thanks for the note about availability in Tennessee. that is genuinely useful context for other gardeners in the region who are searching for these.

So farso.good.

So far, so good. The tree arrived in good shape in good packaging.

Good packaging really does make a difference when a tree is traveling across the country, so it's great to hear it arrived in solid shape. The Exclamation London Planetree tends to establish quickly once it's in the ground, so keep an eye on consistent watering through the first season and you should see some strong new growth. Thanks for sharing the early update, Theresa.

What USDA hardiness zones is the Exclamation!™ London Planetree suitable for?

  • Exclamation!™ London Planetree thrives in USDA hardiness zones 5-9. This frost crack resistant tree handles challenging conditions well, from poor soils to drought. Plant in full sun for best growth and disease resistance.

What is the mature height and width of Exclamation!™ London Planetree?

  • Exclamation!™ London Planetree reaches 55-65 feet tall and 35-45 feet wide at maturity. This fast-growing shade tree develops a strong pyramidal form with dense branching. Plan for adequate space when planting, as available at naturehills.com.
