Bushel and Berry® BerryBux® Blueberry
The BerryBux® Blueberry PP#25,467 (Vaccinium c. 'ZF08-095') is a truly unique edible ornamental bred for both fruit and foliage! This dwarf hybrid Blueberry is evergreen in most regions, with glossy, Boxwood-like leaves that keep their shape and color year-round!
Spring brings tiny, bell-shaped white blooms, highly sought after by the bees, that transform into a heavy summer crop of small, flavorful blueberries. It's self-pollinating and reblooms in some climates, and is highly ornamental even when not fruiting. The berries ripen in mid-summer, offering not only fresh snacking delights but also attracting pollinators when in bloom and birds when fruiting. In fall and winter, the foliage may take on a bronzy hue in colder climates.
Compact and dense, BerryBux® grows just 2 to 3 feet tall and wide, forming a tidy, rounded mound. Its leaves are small, deep green, and leathery, closely resembling a Boxwood hedge, earning it a reputation as the "Fruiting Boxwood". Making it a great alternative to Boxwood and including edible landscaping in your home's curb appeal!
