Good Vibrations® Privet brings a ray of golden sunshine to the garden with its eye-catching gold-and-green variegated foliage that brightens any border or container. Each leaf features a vivid golden margin surrounding a green center, creating a luminous, layered effect that glows even in shadier spots. This compact, slow-growing privet stays at half the size of standard varieties, 3–5 feet tall and wide, making it perfectly manageable without constant shearing. Fragrant white flower panicles appear in summer, drawing in butterflies and beneficial pollinators.
- Striking gold-and-green variegated foliage, luminous and eye-catching year-round
- Compact, slow-growing habit, 3–5 ft. tall and wide, stays half the size of standard privets
- Fragrant white flowers in summer attract butterflies and pollinators
- Dense branching responds beautifully to pruning, ideal for formal hedges or topiary
- Heat tolerant, deer resistant, and adaptable
- Excellent as a specimen, hedge, or container plant
- Hardy in Zones 6–9
Good Vibrations® Privet thrives in full sun to part shade with average, well-drained soil. Full sun produces the most vivid gold foliage color. Water regularly until established; once rooted, it is reasonably adaptable and moderately drought tolerant. The slow growth rate means minimal pruning is needed to keep it in check, but it responds beautifully to shaping if a formal hedge or topiary look is desired. Prune lightly after flowering to tidy up. This cheery, versatile shrub adds warmth and structure to any landscape. Order today!
