#ProPlantTips for Care:
Phlox are perfect for the beginner gardener! Give these herbaceous perennials at least six hours of sun a day. More sun means more flowers. They require well-drained soil that sheds water quickly after a rain. Have soggy soil in your preferred planting area? Provide a regular, even amount of moisture for the best results and this is so important for container gardens! Apply a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch over the root system to further protect your plants. Please pull it back, so it doesn't touch the stems.
They are cold-hardy perennials and will come back next year for you, as long as they get adequate moisture. Deadhead immediately after the flowers fade and you may just enjoy a rebloom later in the growing season! The stems can be cut back to the ground in late fall. Or, you can choose to leave them up until late winter or early spring before their haircut. How convenient! It's one of the most mildew-resistant Tall Garden Phlox you'll find, expertly bred for superior disease resistance, as well.

Does Tall Garden Phlox spread?
Most Garden Phlox do spread some but politely so - not getting into trouble and not jumping their borders. Should the clumps become too large you can easily divide them.
Should your deadhead Tall Garden Phlox?
Deadheading Phlox helps prevent some varieties from self-seeding and encourages a rebloom.
Where is the best place to plant Phlox?
Phlox needs well-drained enriched soil with good air circulation for best results. Mulch their beds and fertilize them each spring.
What happens to Phlox in the winter?
Phlox are herbaceous perennials that will lose their leaves and stems after frost and die back to the ground. In spring, they regrow from their root systems anew!
